Heavenly Village Hotels, South Lake Tahoe

"Stayed here for a quick trip to ski. Excellent location in the village. Staff was friendly, but should be considering there was $100 resort fee per day and $40 per day for valet (no other parking option). QR signs for tipping were everywhere. We were there on weekdays at the end of ski season, but surprised that the main restaurant was closed. The bar was closed. Pool was open, but the hot tub was dirty. Gym was decent for a hotel, but we didn’t use. Hotel has a breakfast (for an extra fee). Sounded great, but weekday options were limited. Room was nice, could definitely have been cleaner. Hair on the floor, lamp beside the bed had rarely (if ever) been dusted. Beds and pillows were comfy. AC did not reach into the bedroom. Was nice to have a sitting area though, and a table. Bathroom was large with nice lighting and lots of towels. Biggest surprise in Margaritaville - no margarita bar! We didn’t really need, but I was expecting it. Maybe this was the lobby bar that was always closed. "

"This complex is in dire need for an update. Neighbors upstairs sounded like elephants doing jumping jacks because of the age of the building. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly."

"Customer service could’ve been better. We weren’t greeted and we were not prepared to pay 45 a day for valet parking. Bottles of soap in bathroom were dirty and the shower didn’t drain. It was reported and wasn’t fixed. It was also a hassle to find where the pool towels were, would be nicer if there was a designated area. Windows didn’t open and the room was always uncomfortably warm. We liked the kitchen, bed, and feeling safe due to elevators and entrances requiring room cards to be scanned. "
