Do not stay here! First of all they misinformed us about when they were actually going to be open due to COVID19 . When we arrived in Tahoe we were in a panic because we noticed the lights of Harveys was turned off and we didn't know how we would check in for our first night! Then after calling and speaking to multiple representatives we were informed we were to stay in Harrahs then go to stay in Harveys for our last day because that's when they would be opening...talk about inconvenient and unsafe! We tried to speak to Harrahs and Harveys hotel about letting us stay in our room in Harrahs for the rest of our stay since they were the ones who made the mistake in the first place but they said no with no compassion or understanding of their customer during this pandemic. We packed all our luggages on our last night and moved it over to our room in Harveys. Driving into the Harveys parking was like entering a weird place...barley any cars. We walked into the elevator area and there was puke on the floor next to us(GROSS!). The elevator light wasn't working and was dirty, the hotel they gave us to stay in was small and filthy and the decorations outdated. Staying at Harveys was like staying in a cheap motel in the 80s. Harrahs was a lot cleaner and nicer so talk about DOWNGRADE on our last night. Overall experience was crappy because of the miscommunication and lack of empathy and understanding for their customers during this difficult pandemic. Harveys hotel gets 1 star.
