Very clean and tidy, good cooking facilities. Lovely stay very bright and airy. Comfy beds and a lovely jacuzzi bath. Near the centre so could walk to locations.

Nice apartment, although this was the first time we have stayed in a ground floor apartment. It was slightly dark, didn't get as much light as the upstairs apartments and noise from the upstairs apartment was very loud at times. Also the outdoor patio although nice, not very private with people walking past constantly.

This apartment was immaculate. Very well appointed with lovely hosts. The only thing I could say that I find frustrating is that when you have a full kitchen and there are no basics such as cooking oils and condiments that you need very little of and the local grocery store is really expensive for these items. Otherwise, it really had everything and we had a wonderful stay.

We do not provide cooking oil or any condiments in the apartments since dietary preferences vary greatly from guest to guest, and it becomes really difficult to accommodate the needs.We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and We hope to see you again soon.

Have stayed here a few times and always friendly welcoming service, property is always clean and has everything you need right down to the body moisturizer. There is insufficient parking to the number of apartments, so if you are to slow you will have to park on the road which is not ideal. A property of this caliber I would expect my own carpark.

Modern, spacious, well provisioned apartment located a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Hanmer. Very friendly manager and apartment spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

This property is fantastic, beautifully appointed, high quality finishings, warm and cosy and lovely views. This was our second time staying here and would absolutely stay again in the future.

I thought it was nice and comfortable - just not luxurious - and quite expensive for what it was. ( although it was school holidays ) We also had a handicapped room which meant that we did not get a spa bath which would have been quite nice. We were also in a downstairs room which was quite dark and we did have quite a heavy footed family above us .

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. There is only one apartment in the whole complex without a Spa Bath, when we are fully booked we do have to utilize all apartments. We did have a word with the family upstairs to be respectful of the guests downstairs. Our suggestion next time would be to request a Spa Bath and an upstairs apartment. Hope you enjoyed Hanmer Springs and had a safe trip back home.

When the room was serviced the cleaner did the bare minimum only pulled up beds changed towels and empty rubbish bins

We have stayed here a couple of times when visiting Hamner and have never been dissappointed. Lovely property with everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. Great location too.

We had an amazing stay here. The only thing we would have loved was airconditioning or more fans especially at night as keeping the windows open just was not enough. The kids loved watching and feeding the ducks. It was great to have a small track to get into town quickly and easily too.

Lovely apartment and very clean. Central to all Hanmer attractions and welcoming hosts. Only downside was it felt that they were penny pinching a bit e.g. only one sachet of washing powder was provided and further ones had to be purchased at $2 each. One sachet does not go far with a family of 4 for a week.

Beautiful property with a great location that is easily walkable to the village center. The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom/shower was large and had good water pressure and hot water. We'had a two- bedroom and it was perfect fot my friend and me. It was very warm fir New Zealand when we visited so fans were supplied since the property does not have air conditioning. However, by next summer rooms will have A/C. That is good news and we would definitely stay here again especially with the news of the A/C installation. We had a wonderful stay!

great staff, nice rooms and lovely view. what i did not like was warning signs saying if the rooms are too messy and takes longer time to clean, they will charger 100 dollars. it was not a cheap place to stay at so i dont think that should be there

Thank you for taking the time to review Village Lake Apartments. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and liked our apartments. The sign is in the apartment as some guests literally walk out leaving cooked, smelly food on plates and still in the pans, and make no attempt to put their rubbish in the bins provided in the apartment. Some foods which people choose to cook smell out the whole apartment and cannot be aired out in time for the next guests. I am sure you would not want to walk in to an apartment which smells. The majority of guests are not like this.
