Spacious and brand new but soulless. Our view was of a vacant lot complete with derelict vehicles and a garage or hangar with broken windows. Not worth the expense.

An excellent motel, very close to central Hanmer Springs (and an easy walk to the hot pools, and to Monteiths Brew Bar. I especially like that the room had real (plunger) coffee - not instant. (Everyone, repeat after me: Instant 'coffee' is not coffee!) From now on, this will be my preferred motel whenever I visit Hanmer Springs.

There was an issue with the refrigerator with over freezing and causing loss of food. Despite the very good TV instructions, accessing SKY was problematic,

Lovely hotel close to town, but unfortunately there is no lift if you are on the second story, and no one at reception to help. My husband and I have back and neck issues, it was a struggle lifting the cases up 2 flights of stairs.

Situated in the centre of Hamner Springs meant we could walk everywhere. It was tastefully decorated and furnished and very clean. We would thoroughly recommend staying at St James.
