Stayed for first night in Hakodate. Was able to leave bags at front desk because I had arrived early. Very sweet check-in lady at front desk. Upstairs public bath was a nice addition, both indoor and outdoor. Pillow corner was really cool but get there early or you will miss out like me. Room was spacious and clean and had great layout. My favorite of the non resort/ryokan hotels I stayed at on this trip. Was able to keep bags at the front desk while I explored Goryokaku Park before my next check in❤️ Great team, service, location, room, and value. Would stay again.

We stayed at a room for 3 people. I would say it was not super spacious but large enough to feel comfortable. We loved that the toilet was separated from the tub/shower/ sink area. Also the large bath on the 12th floor was very nice.

JR inn is connected to JR Hakodate station so the location is very convenient to airport and tourist attractions. Wifi was very fast. Twin room size is spacious for 2 person. The hotel has a communal bath on the top floor with a lounge to relax with view. The morning seafood market is nearby and bus station is just in front of the hotel. It’s a great hotel when travelling to Hakodate.

We have the good experience here. The hotel is near Hakodate Train Station that you can walk and chill around easily. The price is reasonable. No need to have the bathtub because you can go to indoor onsen in the hotel. Moreover, the shower room have seperated with toilet. So, you can use both room in same time. For the staff, they have a good services same as standard of others.

The Premium Twin room was large and had a separate sitting area with a loveseat, chair and coffee table. The room was super clean. There is a reading room on the top floor with free coffe and tea. Great views of the city. Good experience at the hotel and city of Hakodate.

Amazing hotel, as it sits directly on top of Hakodate Station. The rooms are modern and clean, and the baths offer a great, relaxing experience. Make sure to take advantage of the lounge on the 12th floor, as it offers up great views of Hakodate and the ocean.

The standard twin room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the pillow selection. The hotel was right next to the Hakodate station, but it was quiet inside.

Great hotel stay.
Nice hotel, conveniently located to a lot of good places. They have multiple types of pillows you can choose for your comfort. Only complaint is the elevators get very busy at times and it takes a while to get one to stop that isn't already full. There were no stairwells available to use otherwise.

The hotel is right in the JR station building, but it’s still very quiet, you can’t hear the trains. The staff was exceptionally nice, the rooms were of course clean, and the location is awesome. The tramlines are in a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and the morning market is even closer. Mount Hakodate and the red brick warehouses are in a walkable distance too (but you can use the trams as well). My favourite thing: you can choose additional pillows from a pillow-library next to the elevators.

Attached to JR Hakodate station
Very convenient if coming from JR Hakodate station since the hotel is accessible without having to go outside at all. The facility is new and modern. The pillow selection area is interesting but need to pick one early, as they run low as the day goes on. The public bath and lounge on the top floor is a nice touch.

The front staff were very helpful and quickly got us checked in. We were very pleasantly surprised with the option to chose a pillow to your liking! Rooms were very clean, and information was provided. Next door is JR station which was one of the main reasons for booking. Also across the street from morning market which was so cool to see, hear, and eat many different kinds of foods! Would stay again!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Attached to JR Hakodate station. Surrounded by great places to eat. Lucky Pierrot is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel along the ocean. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel seems very new with high quality furnishings. The bathroom amenities are top notch. They also offer some rarely seen amenities such as free facial toner and lotions, different choices of pillows, etc. The room is more spacious than regular Japanese hotel rooms. The location is superb. It is walkable to a few attractions such as the morning market, Mt. Hakodate, etc. The JR station, bus station and tram station are all within 5 minutes of walk. I really enjoyed the stay. I think the guest laundry can be improved. There are six machines. But the machine's capacity is small and a full cycle takes 2 hours. As a result, they are often all occupied in the afternoons and evenings. I ended up going at 5am and most of the machines were still in use. Obviously someone even got up at 4am to use the laundry. If the hotel could add another laundry room, with more efficient machines, that would be very helpful. In the meanwhile, some staff could regularly check the laundry room and take finished laundry to the front desk if the owners do not pick up on time. In this way, other guests do not need to keep coming back to check whether machines are emptied. The breakfast buffet is a little disappointing in my perspective. Unless you eat a lot of sushi or sashimi, it is not really worth 2600JPY per person.
