Location is a bit remote but instead the quiet and view is great. This is the most love hotel of the trip.

This hotel thinks it is a 5-star hotel, but it is at best a 3-star unsafe and outdated hotel which I would never return to, even if you pay me to. Worst is its complimentary bottled water policy which is one tiny 330ml (not even 500ml) bottle per person per day. Even at the breakfast buffet, there is no hot water served, nor are you able to take away any of the liquids served there. Basically, they want to make money off their beverages by denying you to basic water, where the water from the tap is unsafe to drink. All of the electric sockets in our room are loose and unsafe. The bath towels are old and have seen better days, and it's the first 5-star hotel I ever been to, where you are given only 1 pillow per person. At the Melia, in Haiphong previously, we were asked and given our own selection of pillow to choose from, in addition to the many pillows already in the room. The hotel is stuck in the 1980's like a big white elephant. I was shocked to see all of the elevators also had no device to tap your room key to ensure only hotel guests can use the hotel elevators. No sense of safety nor comfort, never mind luxury. Stay away is my only recommendation.

My wife and I were overall impressed with this property. The views are absolutely great, whether you’re on the golf or sea side. I’d recommend spending time at the pool area, and taking some time to explore the property. It’s a real nice one. I’d recommend staying here for anyone who wants to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi/ any big city, it’s quite worth the money.

Room are comfortable, clean and spacious. Good aircon. My wife and I stayed in may 23 very warm and humid. Do come in aug to dec which i was told are the cooler mths. Delicious chinese restaurant. Mr Giang served us and explained not only food but also hotel facilities and nearby attractions. My wife and I stayed on the 8th floor. Good views of halong bay from the hotel.

Gorgeous view, not ideal for families to stay more than 1-2 days. Room refrigerator doesn’t work. No washer and dryer. No microwave. No kitchenware. Although the view is beautiful and the hotel is well maintained. The bathrooms in our room smelled like urine or bad plumbing. We did not like that the shower water runs over to the toilet making you need to wear shower sandals every time you need to use the restroom. We requested for extra pillows and blankets and they said whatever is provided in the room already is the limit. We then requested for an extra blanket and got a bed sheet.

Stunning View!
This was a short stay on a longer trip, but by far the nicest place we rested our heads. The resort is beautiful and the views of Ha Long Bay or remarkable. Take time to enjoy the property and take a boat ride in the bay.

We stayed at this property. Amazing location with great views. We had 2 executive suites on the 20th floor which includes use of the executive lounge. We were told we had to pay $140/person to use the lounge, but after a discussion with management, they invited us to use the lounge. We had a great stay for 4 days with the exception of the sewage smell that leaks out of the sink/tub drain. Not sure why a new hotel would not have a trap in the drains to prevent the smell. Also, the smell is more prevalent by the pool. We were able to change seats to limit it, but the drain next to the bar is the origin, so anytime you walk by there it stinks. Last day, the problems began...we had to pay for an additional night so we could stay until 5:30pm due to 11pm flight. So we paid for the extra night and were denied access to the lounge. Upon checkout, we were told we stole a towel and a coffee cup saucer and we would have to wait until they inspected the rooms before we could leave. After 10 very stressful minutes, they let us checkout. They arranged a 7 seat vehicle because we wanted a comfortable 3 hr ride. We got a 4 seat car. I text the concierge my disapproval of the vehicle. After an hr driving the lunatic driver starts taking phone calls and pulls over screaming at us and wants to know why we are unhappy with his car.He starts taking pics of us and gets out of the car to take pics. After 15 minute nightmare on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, we were on our way.

Our Executive Lounge is not added in the benefit for bookings online yet. If guest would like to access Executive Lounge, extra charge at 700,000 VND/pax/night. Executive benefit was offered to your family without charge by our Butler team up on the arrival. Your feedback with respect to the room smell and check out experience are well noted so that the problem is being treated seriously and has been shared with our Executive Housekeeper to investigate the cause and remedy Further to your feedback with respect to the transportation is taken most seriously and I have also shared this with our Front Desk Manager so that we may enhance and improve our service standards moving forward. Unfortunately, hotel not provide the transportation service yet so the Concierge must assist guest by using service from outside and regret that lead to unexpected incident. I belived that the Toyota Fortuner-7 seats car was arranged for you. May be misunderstanding, You want a mini van while our Concierge arranged a 7 seats only. I stayed at FLC Ha Long Bay for 3 nights in November 2019. I found the location stunning - you can't beat an elevated view of Ha Long Bay. The hotel is brand new, only 2 years old. There are many parts that are very nice...the appearance from the outside, the lobby, etc. However, there are some things that aren't ideal - it's a cheap flooring in the rooms, there are some craftsmanship issues that you notice - like too much grout in the shower, tiles that aren't quite square, flooring that leaves a small gap to the wall. There are also just some things designed poorly - like a slippery tile in the indoor pool area. And the pool is next to the gym - meaning that because the pool area is heated and moist (to keep swimmers warm), the same warm moist air is in the gym - so the gym is 24C-25C or 75F/77F while also being humid. This makes the floor slippery and a workout very uncomfortable because it's so humid. There's also just some sloppiness with the processes (not the staff, they're very good). For instance, checking out took a while because there is only one credit card reader - seems like something that should be fixed. Alex, the assistant GM I think, is excellent. He was super helpful at all times, very friendly, and relatable. I highly recommend him. The golf course is pretty awesome too. Immaculately kept, every divot is repaired by hand by the caddies. Every tufts of grass is picked up. I've never seen such well kept fairways.

After booking, I sent a Facebook message to the hotel with no response. Seems like the only way to contact the hotel is via phone, but their staff are not strong in English. The hotel does not have their own transport service to/from the Hanoi airport. Hotels.com listed this as an amenity (during booking) but after calling the hotel, I was told they do not have that service. After getting passed around, I was told they can help in arranging transport via an outside company. Frankly, I was surprised it took so long to get this assistance from their team. The hotel is at least 3 hours from the Hanoi airport. Where a majority of their guests coming from? Anyways, when I arrived at the hotel, I was given a pleasant, warm welcome. The building and rooms are gorgeous. I was told the hotel is only 1 or 2 years old, and it shows. In the restaurants, don't expect answers to anything besides basic English questions. They all seemed like they want to help, but there's a definite language barrier. The overall setting is indeed gorgeous. The golf course was a great time and views were surely picturesque and memorable. The pool also looked nice, but it was a bit too cold for me to try during my trip. As I was leaving, I had a nice conversation with one of their managers, Alex, while the front desk processed all of the checkout paperwork. I'm happy with my stay, but only because I found what I thoughts was a decent deal on the nightly rate.

The best hotel in Halong
This hotel is like a castle on the hill overlooking the shanty towns below. By far the best in the area. The pool is outstanding and the food was very good.

For the price it did not live up to expectation. We were told that it was only 6 months old so granted there would be teething problems. This hotel was not suited for foreign guests, with nearly no staff speaking basic English; coffee, water etc was not understood. The level of professionalism from the staff was not suited for a 4 - 5 star hotel. There were a few members of staff that brightened our day by showcasing excellent communication skills and understanding our frustration. The rest of the staff need some more training and if they know they don't have the skill to communicate not to even bother and make things more difficult. The hotel guests were apualing. We discovered that there were summer holidays so there were a million kids. This would be fine but they were running riot every where in the hotel. Imagine those awful children you see in movies that act like little princess, times that by a thousand and put them in a food fight. It felt like we were in a nice hotel mainland China with people that have just come into money and power and treat anyone not within their family with no respect or ettiquete. There is no proper room service in the hotel so if you want to escape the crowds and enjoy your pleasant room it's a bit difficult. The swimming pool at midday when the masses go inside for lunch was extremely lovely. The whole atmosphere was impressive and relaxing. Next time we will look for a chain hotel where you know what you will get.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr großes Hotel, das gerade mal fünf Jahre alt ist. Es ist sehr luxuriös, das Personal ist wahnsinnig freundlich. Allerdings sollten Sie dort die Instandhaltung nicht vernachlässigen. Im Fitnessstudio war nur ein Laufband von 3 funktionsfähig und ein Trainingsgerät war defekt. . Der Kühlschrank in unserem Zimmer war ebenfalls defekt. Im Pool müssten die Ränder gereinigt werden, die verfärben sich bereits. Alles in allem ist es aber ein tolles Hotel mit einem wunderbaren Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir haben uns die Präsidenten Suite gegönnt, von dort hat man einen fantastischen Blick!
