The beachis over 500 metres long and has a wide sandy area. Stroll along the beach’slength to take in its exceptionally serene beauty. Guana Bay Point is locatedat the beach’s southern end. At this point on a clear day, you can see all theway to the French island of St. Barthelemy, approximately 15 kilometres away.
Adventuresports lovers will be spoilt for choice at Guana Bay Beach. Windsurfing and snorkellingcan be enjoyed along the bay, as well as great surfing on the renowned AtlanticOcean swells. Use equipment hired from nearby Philipsburg or bring your own.The beach is often subject to strong currents however, so inexperienced swimmersand children should take care on the shore.
ReachGuana Bay Beach by foot or by car along the 3 kilometre road from Philipsburg,on the St. Maarten side. If arriving by foot, climb over the small hill fromthe road and find this peaceful paradise. Free parking is available in the areabut be sure to take your valuables with you, as the area is not under anysecurity surveillance.
