We’ve got Eiger view room on the 5th floor, oh my goodness, it was so beautiful. Room was big and everything was perfect. Location is perfect too, it is Just a minute walk from the train station, bus station is just opposite the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Location was excellent with respect to convenience to transportation. Staff were gracious and helpful. Our room was a bit small and it was consistently too warm at night. But we were happy with our hotel choice overall and can recommend it to others.

Service was great. The front desk people, including the hotel manager were great. They gave us great advice on places to go and see while we were there. They were very helpful. We went to the restaurant once but it was good. The hotel is located right by the bus stop and not far from the grocery store. The only issue for us was our room was right above the dining area so at night we would sometimes get cigarette smoke in our room and would have to close our windows. Everything else was great.

The property is right next to the train station. Just 30 sec walk ! Extremely convenient ! Room is clean, nice and comfortable. However, because of its convenient location, you might hear people chatting and smelt people smoking downstairs on the street.

Be advised if a non-smoker. We got an Eiger view room with balcony. But even though our room was a non-smoking room, we couldn't enjoy sitting on the balcony because either people on the balcony next to us or using the restaurant below us were smoking and it came up to our room. Couldn't even open the window at night for cool air.

Ok hotel but please read in
My stay was marred by a cleaning lady who took short cuts. She did not: 1) give me fresh towels 2) clean my cups (with a used tea bag) 3) provide me with fresh toiletries 4) clear my champagne bucket which had become a bucket of water. When I arrived at the hotel, it must be the same cleaning lady who overlooked the fact that the toiletries given to me were half used. It is a shame that the property has sloppy staff like this. To be fair, when I complained, the other staff immediately addressed the issues. I also especially liked the staff on night duty at the reception, a gentleman from Portugal. He was really helpful and friendly. The hotel is one of the closest hotel to the train station, so that was great. However, there is not much to eat around the hotel. When we wanted to dine at the hotel one night when it was raining very heavily, we were told that the restaurant was only opened to “half boarders” and not casual diners like me even though I was a hotel guest! Luckily there are some restaurants up the road. I guess if the hotel had been hospitable enough, they should have made an exception in view of the heavy rain!

Breathtaking views with great service
We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms are very comfortable the service is fantastic and the hotel spa was wonderful. The location is perfect and the views are breathtaking, we will definitely stay here again.

We had the perfect weekend at Kreuz & Post. We were able to check in at 11.30am and got an on site parking space right outside the door. Our Room was wonderful, big & spacious, with a balcony and an amazing view of the Eiger.Thank you to Hotel.Com for the complimentary bottle of Bubbly. We booked the set meal for dinner the first night, 5 courses, was wonderful and excellant value. It was my 60 Birthday the following day and received a cake with a candle on it at breakfast, so very thoughtful of the Hotel. That night, we chose the A la Carte meal which was also great. On arrival our table was decorated with Happy Birthday decor. The attention to detail at this hotel is excellant. The staff are so friendly and helpfull. We love Grindelwald and look forward to returning.

It's a fairly standard hotel without any special features or wow factors. Albeit it's positioned as a 4-stars accommodation, in my view, it's rather basic and certainly overpriced. Breakfast was good, but not rich in terms of varieties. Towels were not changed for some reason. Welness area is small and again there's nothing particularly good of expected 4-stars level.

The first thing to comment on is location. The hotel is literally a stone's throw away from Grindelwald station. This is incredibly convenient for a variety of reasons. The next thing to comment on is the view. The view from my balcony was something that can be best described as majestic. It's difficult to find fault with much when you can wake to a view like that every morning. Excluding the view and in the interests of balance I am going to try and be as harsh as possible. Though these are very minor issues. It's arguable that the room safe could have been a bigger one. To allow safe storage of my laptop for example. Though I felt very secure in the hotel and I was able to put everything else I needed to in the safe provided. Other than that (and I've been trying really hard to come up with criticism), maybe there could have been more toiletries in the room. In the sense that for shampoo and soap there was one brand of green tea body wash available. This is probably being very harsh though. The dry sauna, though small was one of the best suana's I've been in. Assuming you want a really strong sauna. The steam room was good. The low infrared chamber that's available was a revelation and the jacuzzi was well maintained. If I at any point had any questions, over transport or travel or anything in general, the staff were warm welcoming and approachable. In conclusion, I would definitely stay here again. It was (and would be) a pleasure.

Hotel is a bit dated, but kept in good shape. Staff are great and rates are fair and represent good value. The one thing below standard is the breakfast buffet. I don’t have a problem with limited selections, but when those are presented without care or sophistication it doesn’t represent a 4-star rating.

Great location ok hotel
Perfect location cozy hotel however more comfort could be provided.A renovation is needed and they need to upgrade to individual heating rather than central air conditioning. Also upon check in for thw two rooms we booked we were not informed we had dinner included which we figured out on our second day so unfortunaltely we and our friends missed out on our first nights 5 course meal which was a shame . The hotel service and food was less than we expected for over $750 aud per night however for a short stay and a great location in a beautiful town it was good enough.

The location was amazing . It was a few steps away from the train station making it very easy to travel in the Jungfrau area. The Spa was a blessing after a long day out.Breakfast was normal, not fantastic. There is no electric kettle with tea/coffee provision although i was provided with a kettle when i asked for it.Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Good location & springboard to attractions
Hotel is located just opposite the train station and it’s easy to get to Jungfrau and other scenic locations from here. Grindelwald First cable car station is just a 10 min walk and the Coop supermarket is just across the road. Many good restaurants (including the one at the hotel) can be found in the vicinity. Good value for money and the breakfast is good too!

Lovely and friendly hotel and very cosy. Fabulous food in the restaurant. You can tell it’s family run. Excellent location. Would like to return.

The staff is very kind and helpful, the room was very clean and this is one of the closest places you can stay to the station which makes it highly convenient. I went to go look at the hot tub and it looked very nice - wish I would have made it back before it closed for the night.
