"Fantastic location, right on the beach, very quiet. The house configuration was good. One bedroom and bath on first floor and two bedrooms and a shared bathroom on the second floor. Loved watching the lobster boats coming and going out to sea."

"This is our third year in a row staying here for July 4th. Rooms are excellent. View of the river is spectacular from room. Fish will be jumping at dusk. Helens and Mason Brew Pub a short walk away. Rooms are recently updated and are beautiful. Great rear outside sitting area with fireplace to hang out at next to the river which is quiet on a large lawn area."

"This spot is a hidden gem. I can’t wait to come back. It immediately felt like home. It was apparent that this is a family camp, and I can’t even believe how well provisioned it is. If folks are coming from out of state - they won’t need to bring much other than their food and clothing. I’ve worked and stayed in camps in northern Maine and I never experienced the quiet and peace like I did here. The small walk out back is magical. Deer and snowshoe hares are a welcome constant. A small walk from camp there are excellent trailheads - I highly suggest hiking at least one while you visit. The views are world class, there’s nothing like downeast Maine. Chipman’s wharf is close by, you can get fresh lobsters and have them steamed there to take home, or eat there at their cafe. If you’d like to experience the REAL Maine coast - this is the place to go. So grateful that we found this place. We will be back as soon as possible."

"This was the perfect place to relax! The view is beautiful and the area is so peaceful. The home was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. Our boys loved fishing off the dock and digging for clams along the shore. We really enjoyed exploring the area. Host was easy to contact and the housekeeper was very friendly and helpful! Would absolutely return to this home!"

"This was our first trip to Maine and we had a great time staying here at this charming cottage. The host was very responsive and all amenities were as advertised. The location is great, being nestled along the back part of the bay where we could watch the fisherman work and wake up to deer and bird songs every morning. We even got to see a baby fox and porcupine in the neighborhood. Travel to nearby Acadia and Schoodic is not far. Our top pick for places to visit would be Quoody Head State Park and lighthouse. We made the early morning sunrise trip and were treated to some amazing sights and sounds. The scenery there is stunning! Don’t get me wrong, Acadia is nice, just too many people during the Summer when we all come to see it. Overall a great first trip to Maine and we would definitely stay at this cottage again.
