"As a Hotels.com VIP, we enjoyed the $50 gift certificate for breakfast, which was good. My husband enjoyed the avocado toast with salmon and I had the fruit and a chocolate croissant. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful staff especially Mike in luggage storage and Angie at the front desk. The rooms are updated and comfortable. The gym was excellent. The pool is small and cold but it was sparkling clean. "

"We stayed in the tower in a King room (high floor) with an ocean view. Room was clean and comfortable. View was beautiful, though the sunset view was partially blocked by another hotel. Hotel was beautifully maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Waikiki beach, drinks and food at Mai Tai Bar. Beach felt safer this visit as there were not as many homeless people wandering it. Enjoyed our time at the Royal Hawaiian!"

"There are no kettles or microwaves in the rooms which is frustrating. After asking, I was told that there was only one microwave on the property and it was in the basement near the laundry room. Each time I wanted a cup of tea I had to take two elevators. And then wait in line to use it. Ridiculous. Other than that I enjoyed the hotel. It's dated but has a cute ambience and the location is great. "

"Clean room, great staff. Central Location to food and shopping. Beach access is down the way a little. Rain closed the pool and amenities, but when you only have a few days on vacation everyone was still in the pool and looking for service "

"Staff went above and beyond, all super nice and hospitable. Carpet in room is old, and the rooms have popcorn ceilings. Very spacious though. Not good if you have asthma. Pool is small. Breakfast was good, opens early as 6:30. Lobby area was very welcoming "
