"We watched the total solar eclipse 10 feet from our doorstep. We shared it with dozens of people who had come to listen to the band and check out the wonderful antique store that is attached to this property. All of the furnishings and decorations in the Casita are those that have been repurposed from antiques and vintage materials just like those found in the store. This rental has, by far, the nicest decor of any VRBO that we’ve ever stayed in. It’s like staying inside an artists’ creation."

"I stayed in the Treehouse suite for a week in early September. Hosts Vicky and Micky were consummate hosts. The ranch was spacious with delightful critters and Micky was wonderful, taking me on a trail ride and gave me two horse riding lessons, as well as a tour of the bird sanctuary and farm animal encounter. "We loved our stay at the Meyer Hotel. It’s very antique vibe and it’s so cute. We had amazing 24/7 communication via text. It’s the perfect place to relax. Only about 30 minutes from Fredericksburg for food and 30/45 from San Antonio. I will be coming back! We relaxed watching the deer in the evening. The only thing was the fire wasn’t wanting to stay on but other than that it felt VERY safe. I know the town can look very outdated and scary to some but we felt very homey and safe with our car...
