"We had a great stay at this place. We floated the Frio one day and the next day enjoyed a hangout in Leakey we know. Afterwards we spent the evening at the Utopia Lake and floated on it and did the rope swing as well. The owner was always quick to respond to us and even had someone bring us a propane bottle to use due to our group forgetting ours. All in all it was a great trip!"

"The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this...

"We liked the cabin; it was cozy and comfortable. The first 2 nights, we were the only ones in the property, so, it was truly an away-from-it-all vacation. Our pups loved it too and was super thrilled to see deer in the yard in the morning. The river was dried up (in November), but, the trees had turned colors, so, it was nice. This location is perfect if you want to visit Garner State Park and Lost Maples. "
