"Very clean, the instructions were easy to follow and the guest book had wonderful suggestions and directions to local spots and parks. Great location if you want a quiet and wonderful placebto stay near the parks."
"My sister and I stayed in the Hunter’s Lodge, and were able to visit nearby King’s Canyon and Sequoia National Parks easily due to its location. LOVED the place. It was a mix of hotel and cabin vibes, with shaded spaces to relax outside and good amenities. It was awesome being next to the restaurant, and they offered options for traveling lunches. The staff were courteous and helpful. When I was sitting in the back patio area, a server asked if I minded if she could smoke there or she could move to the front. Another staff member helpfully offered ideas for what to do at the parks. And the property dogs were adorable, friendly, and also courteous. Housekeeping came by every day and kept the place tidy. It was the perfect price for everything that was offered. If you plan to be out of your room most of the time you were in the area, they offer smaller rooms with less amenities, but we enjoyed spreading out.
We bought groceries to save money, but when we ate at the restaurant, the burger, quesadilla and frozen coffee drink were delicious!
The only downside was the shower was either boiling hot, good for 1 minute, or freezing, leading to wasted water. Was never able to figure it out but everything else was so good it didn’t matter."
"Stayed for 10 nights in order to fully explore Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. Good location. Across street from a few local restaurants and a small food store. Loved the Parks! Expect a lot of driving. Best burgers at Ard Farkles golf course. No, that is not a typo! Hotel was clean, staff helpful, breakfast was enough to get your day started. Our door deadbolt didn't work right and they could not fix it it seems. We always travel with an alarm so wasn't a huge deal. There was another lock also. Beds were comfortable, too. Would stay here again."
Camping near Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park #1
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great stay. Beautiful horses and friendly ranch dogs. Matt upgraded us from tent camping to a yurt. It was an overall nice and peaceful experience! I loved that it was quiet and not overan by to many people. Most camp sites are so full that it's never quiet. At one point I sat quietly watching the beautiful rescue horses just in awe of their beauty. One even walked right up to me and let me pet him. He was super friendly. Mattress cause is also great."
"My wife and I rented this lovely little cabin for 3 nights and would have loved to stay 3 more. The history is super cool and there are a bunch of items and memorabilia on the walls relating to the cabin making for a really unique experience. Don’t expect it to feel like a modern hotel room. It’s rustic and as original to its 100 year old roots as it can be. If you like the rustic though you’ll love this place. We saw a group of about 12 turkey waddle through the yard, spotted a deer walking through too, saw many beautiful birds and heard even more. Not to mention there is a restaurant right across the street. You really can’t beat this place."
"Loved our stay!! Everyone here is so nice!! Restaurant hostess was very kind same as lobby staff. We LOVED your lobby morning coffee thank u! We loved the location of this hotel right at the park. Will definitely stay there again if we ever return. The park is unbelievable beautiful!!! A must if you haven’t been"
"Rustic cabin with all the amenities and comfort you’d need in the mountains. Especially good for children who can manage the steep stairs to the bedrooms and bath upstairs. Very comfortable and easy to find."
"Beautiful surroundings and delicious food!
We used the tennis courts and played basketball also. It was a but chilly fir swimming so we didn't use the pool or take a canoe out on the lake.
The lakeside room was nicely furnished with comfortable beds."
