Loved the ground level unit and view of lagoon. The bed linen/pillows smelled a bit awful.

Disappointing 7 Nights Stay. We are Doctor and Nurse married couple with a five year old daughter from Victoria. Unsupportive, rude and unprofessional staff.- we asked for a late check out, due to potential COVID risk in Queensland and staff refused to listen to our concerns, Rhonda from guest services was especially rude, hanging up the phone on me when I was attempting to explain our medical concerns. We then were told that Jeremy, the hotel manager would call us. He called back on Friday morning at 10.15 AM stating he will check the availability, and let us know by that afternoon. This never happened. We never got a return call from him or no one, leaving us with not knowing what to do. We then again called back, guest services at 8 PM and spoke to a man, he stated that Jeremy had already left, they needed the room as the hotel needed our room for guests coming from Brisbane, when on that Saturday morning, all people from Brisbane were in lockdown. It was so disappointing because we were made to feel like we wanted a free few hours stay and again our medical concerns disregarded and ignored! We were left in the lurch because of no communication to even find an alternative accommodation. They should of let us know and at least informed us of the outcome to our request. It’s basic professional courtesy that the hotel staff clearly lacks. It felt like our medical concerns were disregarded and money was more important to this hotel than the Heath of the greater community

The Sheraton Grand Mirage is such a beautiful and private resort. Rooms are big and immaculate and staff were all friendly and super helpful from the second you arrive. This is our go to holiday at home as the open tropical layout and convenient location means we have fantastic restaurants and the beach at our doorstep! we can’t wait to be back !
