Location to tram station. Beach, dining options is fantastic, nothing wrong with the room but it is a little tired, needs a paint, mould in grout in shower, fridge cupboard swallon. cavity in bathroom ceiling leaked into the shower when it rained.
I found lot of cockroaches in the room and bathroom. I contact owner and asking for change the room but they sent cleaner instead. But after we came back to cockroaches still in bathroom, they sent another cleaner but anyways those cockroaches gone. But next morning another cockroaches came again. This is very disgusting. The room smell bad, carpet very yucky. Only one good thing is location just 2-3 minutes to beach closed to shopping area and have tram stop nearby.
This property initially gave 2 people 2 towels each for a 6 day stay
We had 2 toilet rolls for 6 days
We had broken bed lamp hanging from its mount
The cupboard door to the fridge was hanging by one hinge and at floor level all rotted out
The door to the balcony had no outside handle just screws
The door to the room was also hanging by one hinge
I will never book here again I’ve contacted owner since returning home to be ignored

Paid for sea view could barely see it on the corner of the small balcony.
After paying for the hotel they later advice that we have to pay fee for cleaning but they only cleaned the room once they didn’t provide any cleaning service or amenities
The Wi-Fi was not working on our stay, complained to the host he was rude and waste of time didn’t do anything about the matters even the cleaning staff came in our room earlier morning when we were sleeping he opened the door with his key card invading our privacy and was rude
I came here for a family holiday but couldn’t really enjoy our stay
I would not recommend anyone staying here and experiencing such a horrible experience.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was spacious. Room was not cleaned during our stay or no new towels given. Room could do with fresh painting.
This property needs a good make over! Old and outdated. Lack of information about the property as no car park no fresh linen fridge and wardrobes were terrible.
Room 511 at The Mantra 22 view avenue Surfers Paradise. This is not part of the Mantra hotel, rather a private entity/owner. This room was supposedly meant to be 4 star. Im here to let everyone know this is not 4 star. Before i start i recommend to book your accommodation through the Mantra hotel itself...
Issues i had. Room and balcony were absolutley filthy. Photos to prove. For three nights and 4 days they supplied only 4 towels, 1 bottle of 5ml shampoo per person, and 1 bottle for all of 5 ml shower gel. But i paid an extra $110 for room cleaning services...room was not cleaned before i enetered nor while i stayed the 4 days. The balcony was putrid with filth and grass on all edges. The 2 pathetic chairs were diagustingly filthy. I mean uncleanable. Holes in the walls as well. Slept on the same sheets and used unclean towels the whole stay. On my first day i asked for an upgrade as the room was not up to standard...zero care and no reply. I will be contacting the Queensland ombudsman regarding this. Do not book through websites un-associated with the hotel itself. Bood direct so you dont have this issue. My rating is pathetic and an advert full of lies.
My experience here was disgusting.
The worst part was a cupboard that had direct access into a wall cavity containing electrical wiring, extreme dust and filth. When I spoke to the agent I was informed the air co dictionary didn’t work therefore they had to leave that access for people to manually adjust the air conditioning. The cupboard door to this electrical access did not even close. NOT SAFE!!
There was black mould in the bathroom under the sink and around the bath/shower. There was a window covering held up by a bandaid in the bathroom.
The worst part was the manager refused to take my call after the first phone call and refused to respond to my messages other the “Sorry, no refund”
I called Mantra but they had no control as it is a privately owned apartment in the building.
Tried calling Mantra person I was told could help, left several messages. Nothing!!
Hotels.com are currently investigating.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ACCOMODATION!!!!
Worst experience and was left stranded as I was not prepared to stay in an unsafe apartment.
