"The location was great! Was on the first floor, which we didn’t like so much. Overlooking the parking lot. If we were to stay there again, we would be on the second floor most likely. The only complaint was the air conditioner was loud, but at least they had one."

"Location was very good. Room was good; clean and roomy. No tub; but shower was good. Very poor cable tv choice. Could not get any channels we liked. Grounds were cluttered with dead leaves, etc. Stairs were dirty and led one to believe it was a poor choice; but luckily the room was satisfactory. Coffee maker did not work properly. Had trouble getting the keys to work on our door causing several trips to office. Thought the room was too expensive; but isn't everything on the island?!!!"

"We booked this hotel because the harbour area of Victoria had an event that booked out every hotel, but it was a pleasant surprise how great the stay was and now we’ll plan to stay here in the future. It was a particularly great location for the ferry terminal, airport, and Butchart gardens."

"Fabulous!We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely cottage. The owners Pinder and Greg are so kind and helpful.The cottage was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable king size bed and stylish midcentury bedroom. Huge closet, two bathrooms. and a very comfortable sitting area with windows all around giving you views of the garden.There is a large skylight and windows all around so it is very bright. As well, we only used the A/C twice for a short time, but it worked perfectly.The hosts provided tea, coffee, a kettle, coffee maker, sugar... all things we used. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed to cook supper, hold our groceries, and make our lunches for the day.The Garden is spectacular. While sitting on the bench swing in the evening reading a book, a hummingbird buzzed by. The views of the sun setting from the bedroom are spectacular. The location is quiet and peaceful. For hikers check out John Dean Park, Jocelyn Hill, and Mount Douglas, and Tod Inlet.We brought our Oru Kayaks, and loved going out in the evening to kayak. Greg took us down to their stairs and showed us how to access the inlet. We are beginner kayakers and the water in the inlet was calm and safe. We saw a seal and two otters on a nearby dock, a seal in the water, many moon jellyfish and a couple friend egg jellyfish, and kingfishers swooping down and fishing right in front of us on the water. We would love to return one day and highly recommend staying here!"

"Karey and Howie are wonderful hosts, the breakfast is spectacular, and the dogs add the final joy. The garden is lovely, with several seating areas. We walked down to the Bay to enjoy the view, and spotted several curious seals. Five minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Butchart gardens, half an hour from downtown Victoria. There's a reason people come back year after year."
