The hotel is in a great location, opposite the park. Public transport easily within walking distance. Room was very clean and tidy. Check in was fast and friendly. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was great, the food was great, the customer service was beyond that. They would always ask if you needed anything, and you were very looked after and felt welcomed. I would recommend this hotel for a multiple night stay, I only stayed 1 night. Highly recommended.
Great value for a city centre hotel at the weekend. The room was spotless and in excellent condition with all the necessary facilities of tea and coffee and hairdryer. The only negative was the small TV with very tinny sound but I only needed the room to sleep in so that wasn't a big issue. The bathroom was immaculate and looked freshly decorated and everything worked perfectly. The staff on check-in and check-out were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend for a very reasonably-priced overnight in the city.
Very well placed for Glasgow's West End and also for the concert venues at the Hydro and the Armadillo. Very traditional style hotel with excellent reception staff. I didn't try the breakfast as I usually try to support local coffee shops and cafes. I was single traveller and I found the room to be a good size with a double bed. It was on the lower ground floor but there was still natural light from a window, even if the garden outside could do with a wee bit of tending. Everything that you really need for a a weekend stay. I would recommend it.

Great location property, in walking distance from many areas of interest. (Kelvingrove Gallery is just down the road)
The room itself was a little tired, chipped furniture and warped
I like this hotel. It's a homely hotel that I like to return to when I visit Glasgow.
It's clean, the beds are comfortable and the room facilities are maintained in good order.
I particularly like the Scottish clans tartan decor in the rooms, which is a welcoming touch for visitors arriving in Scotland.
Breakfast I didn't have on this visit, but in the past have found it to be good and varied.
The staff are pleasant and keen to see their visitors happy. Thank you for the very nice stay.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
This hotel was very basic. On the plus side, we managed to get one of the few parking spaces. The room was quite hot and there were no glasses or bottled water. The hairdryer was old and sounded and smelled like it might catch fire so I gave it a miss. The staff in the breakfast room were very nice but the food was not great. Basic is the best way to describe this hotel. But it was in a good location.

Had a great stay at The Argyll Hotel. Recently refurbished. Clean rooms, nicely decorated.
Bathroom was modern and spotless.
Helpful and courteous staff. Bus stops close by so was able to get around the city easily.
Will definitely return and would recommend.
The room was quintessentially present at its best with perfect and modern toilet facilities.
I spent two peaceful nights before my successful Viva Exams....kudos to the brilliant and polite staff members.

Everything was good. Room clean, staff nice and polite. Only downside was the mattress on the bed - old, lumpy and not that comfortable.

Best thing of stay was breakfast. Tasty. Varied. Plentiful for choice. Pleasant staff.
Amazing hotel! The location is perfect - on such a safe & quiet street! The staff were so kind and helpful and the room was so spacious and beautiful. I really appreciated the effort into being eco-friendly and I loved the beautiful park across the street and the local bars a block away. Seriously one of the best places I’ve stayed!
This is an excellent budget option, a good clean room, very friendly and efficient staff and we got a breakfast as part of our package. We were visiting as part of a visit to Glasgow University and the location was perfect.

The beds are super hard and I didn’t have a good shower all week. The first day, the water pulsed hot and cold and then the power for my whole room shut off- no lights nothing. They had to set me up in the hall outside someone else’s room to dry my hair. Two other times during the week, the water just shut off partway through my shower. The only saving grace here is the people. The staff were kind and helpful and the location is great.
On arrival the staff were very friendly and took our bags to keep in the storage. Check in was easy and efficient. The room is very clean and the beds were comfy.
