"There was zero disappointment about this property. Friendly owners, great breakfast, clean, updated rooms along with a fun little game area free to use. Pool was not ready for season yet so can't comment on that. My biggest surprise is that this is somehow rated a 2 star property. It is worthy of 2.5 - 3 star. From what I understand, this is locally owned so it's also nice to support local, hometown business. "

"The free breakfast buffet barely had any choices to choose from. Eggs and a meat. Muffins were out at 7:30am. Coffee machine broken. The bathtub didn't have a non- slip surface and was a little slippery. 2 nights in a row our room badges went red so we couldn't get in our room. Had to work with the front desk. Receipt not provided by the hotel though booked through Expedia."

"The Bavarian Inn in Custer, SD, is such a quaint, clean, and quiet hotel! The staff was amazingly friendly, remembering us from day to day. The property is conveniently located; close to shopping and food, and also right off Highway 385 which is a major route in the Black Hills. We traveled with our dog and the property is very accommodating to pets. The Feel Good Cafe onsite has excellent breakfast food and is also pet friendly. We will definitely stay here again!"
