"For the price, you are paying for the amazing loch views, and quiet serenity. Staff was very nice and helpful, food was great. However the owners need to update the rooms at this price point. I don’t mind experiencing the old charm of Scotland but not if it’s 1985 charm. Bathroom needs updating, even a curved shower curtain would go a long way. Wooden Floors are extremely creaky. "We adored this hotel. At first when we arrived, we were concerned not to be in the main building but it turned out the addition (added in 2006) featured walkout rooms to the gorgeous gardens. Service was impeccable and some of the friendliest we received in all of Scotland. Lochardil was top notch in every single way, we were so blessed to have found rooms here."
