"Good location for purpose of my stay. Very friendly staff.
Needed to keep window open for air, traffic on street can be quite noisy. Could also hear people in other rooms/pub downstairs. Could not get Television to operate properly (sound but no picture)."

"We enjoyed our stay at Bannatyne spa hotel. The executive double room was spacious and relaxing with a queen sized bed. The spa/leasure facilitates were very good. Just a shame we had to pay extra for that. "

"Great place a little off the beaten track in beautiful countryside. Great breakfast
Only slight negative is that coffee in room and at breakfast could be stronger ( we are French!)"

"The Apollo was a 2 minute walk from train station and buses. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. My room (5) was clean and bed very comfortable. Plenty of Tea, coffee and milk in room. Also a lovely touch was the biscuits, cartons of juices and bottled water. I would recommend the Apollo."

"Lovely and quiet location with comfortable, clean rooms, a good breakfast and with safe parking. The country house is just off the A21 within an easy drive from Hastings and St. Leonards. I would be happy to stay there again. "
"All staff were so friendly and welcoming. Loved that we were shown to our room, which was clean and neat. The hotel has a certain dated charm as it was built in the 16th century but possibly needs a little bit of TLC eg our bath tub needed replacing as the top layer was chipped. However, shower was fantastic. Breakfast was enjoyable. Good selection on the continental and delicious cooked breakfast. Overall, comfortable bed, great shower and service with a smile - my top 3 key things I look for were delivered. "
"Stayed at Chequers Inn, Battle, for three nights and we were very happy with the Inn and its location. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff were friendly. Would stay again if I was in Battle. About equal distance from the railway station and the town centre."
"Everything from check in and being left some fabulous flapjacks and treats for the dog which were delicious for all of us was very easy and the host was fab. The accommodation was clean and very quaint and the outside area was lovely. The walk to the pub across the sheep field and walking home in the dark was an adventure in itself, We will be back."
"Had a lovely stay at Powdermills. This is a real hidden gem - beautiful grounds, comfortable room, friendly attentive staff, lovely food etc
Decor a bit dated and tired, but understand due for a refresh soon. "
