"On the whole our stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was light airy and cool in the heatwave. The beds clean and comfortable. Decent shower/ bath. Not sure if the small towel in the bathroom was a hand towel or bathmat. The only disappointment was the very basic breakfast, just flake or some round cereal. No muesli, yoghurt, and NO fruit. Bananas are the cheapest fruit going. The cooked breakfast, made to order was good . Nice to have use of the large garden. Few minutes walk to the sea with pasing buses to take you back up the hill "
Stunning country Cottage in Westfield, East Sussex.

"Had a great stay at Ivy Cottage. Harry the host was excellent and on hand to help with any issues, and made us and our dog very welcome. Very quiet at night. The TV has all the apps but bring you own log in details to get the best out of it. There is a fan in the bedroom but bring another if you want one in the lounge as well.The Wild Mushroom restaurant is a 10minute walk and is superb. The New Inn pub is OK for a drink, the food was adequate and the staff were very friendly. There is a local shop that stocks essentials/newspapers, but a large Sainsburys is only a 10min drive wayHastings old town and Pett Level beach (at low tide) are musts, as is Batemans (Kiplings House), Rye and Battle. A good value for money stay - 4.5/5."

"The George is in an ideal position, on the high street. Next door is a really good Thia Restaurant. There is a popular Italian restaurant within the hotel and an excellent little wine bar a few steps down the street. The George is a budget hotel that gives good value. We had plenty of space both in the room and bathroom. Toiletries and tea/coffee facilities were provided. The fan was very much appreciated during the hot spell."

"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."

"We had a lovely weekend away here, the owners are absolutely lovely! The gentleman greeted us, showed us around the farm, where we can let the dogs out for a run and where we could cut across the field to the local pub. A lovely, cosy little place of which we would definitely stay again!"
