Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Everything was wonderful. Really loved the outdoor bath. Room is on the smaller side for an American, but has everything you need. The upstairs drink area has coffee, tea, and soda with a wonderful view. The staff were kind and I also loved the kiosks for easy check in and out. This place was also near a very good yakiniku restaurant.
Next time I wouldn’t want to stay on lounge and onsen floor, and not next to elevator as it was very loud at times. Generally room was fine and bathroom and toilet and sink were good. Lots of outlets to plug things in, but connections at the plug were a tad loose. Lounge with drinks and view was very nice but juice/pop machine were out of order which was too bad. Had a very nice hot chocolate there and watched the city. Check out was very quick which I appreciated and it was a quick 10 min walk to Hakata Station so convenient for the Shinkansen train.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good to reach from the train station with walking distance. Facility is good. Room is kinda small but with the attractive price.

OK option a few blocks from Hakata station
We stayed a night. The pro was the corner rooms each had an "outside bath", which was a tub on the balcony with bamboo curtains. Nice to have a soak. Pay parking nearby was plentiful.
The cons - cleanliness of the room was pretty average, the two lifts for this size of hotel meant long wait times, and the rooftop bath is very small, especially compared to other hotels in the area.
This is a reasonably-priced hotel that is conveniently located near Hakata Station (which in turn is two stops or five minutes away by underground from the airport). The standards of cleanliness are excellent, and the rooms are modern and generally comfortable. On the roof top there is a nice Japanese bath. The room I stayed in was small and there not much light from the window, but overall it served its purpose well. The staff at the reception are polite and helpful.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff absolutely rude and blunt, no interests to offer help. The area for keeping luggages is unwatched, unsafe, unlocked...just try your luck. Rooms are even smaller than expected you need to open your luggages on the bed.

the room is cold as once you open the door, it is an open area
We stayed for 8 nights at the Wbf. We requested a quiet upper floor room. We were assigned a 14th top floor room that is 2 doors away from the elevator, and enroute to the women & men's public bath house and the free beverage room. The moment you leave the lobby, esp. in the summer, you go into an oven. The rooms are located in open motel type corridor with no air conditioning. What is worst, when it rained hard, the carpet of the corridor gets extremely damp. Wbf is a good 20 minutes walk from Hakata station. Adding the walk within that hugh station, you are walking 30 minutes one way and an hour round trip for transportation each time. During the hot summer, with 95 plus degrees temperature, hot corridor and time to slowly cool off your room after plugging in your key, it is not ideal for Westerners who are used to driving in an air conditioned car most of the time. If we went out twice, we would have spent close to 2 hours just being able to get to the right train & back. We will definitely look for a hotel closer to Hakata station since we ate most of our meals there. Some staff friendly and helpful, but on 2 occasions, 2 were unfriendly and did not want to help much. Wbf book lots of short term (1-3 days) group tourist so often here will be 20 tourist with luggage surrounding the lobby, not the best environment! The rather expensive breakfast with steak was not worth the money because at 8:30 am we could tell the steak had been sitting there a while. Not coming back!
