"We had the most wonderful time at Stekkar Lodge. The photos really do not do it justice. The views are breathtaking! The lodge is very well appointed, and the hot tub is incredible. We loved having two separate spaces for the two families that were traveling together. Jon’s communication was flawless, and made everything a breeze. We would LOVE to stay here again."

"This hotel is also a youth hostel on the ground floor, so there was lots of great energy during meals and in the common areas. Our rooms were comfortable and decorated in the style of an old school- we had a chemistry book on the wall! Delicious meals and warm hospitality as well as a location 1 minute from a great geothermal spa made this first stop on our vacation a favorite. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute of our time. The pool table in the basement was a favorite spot."

"We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was a beautiful and unique property. Views from the hotel were breathtaking. The staff was very friendly. The decor was well executed and the hotel restaurant had great food. A great place to rest along the Golden Circle. Close to Geysir, Gullfoss and the Crater. The area around the hotel is rural and gorgeous. "

"Wonderful facilities including the hot tubs and restaurant! The room was very comfortable for 3 and the bathtub was luxurious. Only ding was we arrived a little after 11pm and there was NO ONE around. I had to message the hotel on Facebook to get someone to check us in. "
