Bed and Breakfast in Evansdale

"We got a room with 2 queen beds. One of the beds was spotless and the other bed had various types of hairs (facial hair, body hair, dog hair etc…) throughout the top and under sheets. It seemed as if this bed was untouched maybe by previous guests and the bedding was not changed prior to our stay. "

"The property is fairly large and the kitchen looks nice, but overall the experience fell short due to poor preparation, lack of basic amenities, and safety concerns.The biggest issue was security. The front door did not have a proper lock, and our toddler was able to open it easily. For a waterfront property, this is a serious safety risk. The back door also had a gap leading to the deck where my child got his ankle caught—another clear hazard.Inside, basic essentials were missing—no kitchen towels, no paper towels, and no boxed Kleenex. The water cooler was empty and we were expected to refill it ourselves, which is unreasonable for a short stay. There were also no bath mats available (we later found them unwashed in the washing machine), so we had to use towels on the floor. The BBQ was not available, which wasn’t clearly communicated.The outside of the property was also a mess. It may have been off-season, but it looked like garbage was scattered around, and the area was not usable at all. We didn’t use the outdoor space during our stay because of this.Overall, the property looks better than it functions. It lacks basic standards and attention to detail, and the safety issues are concerning. would not stay here again. Families with young children should be cautious given the safety concerns."

"No towels for the pool even after asking the front staff. Had to walk from the pool to the 4th floor room with a cold toddler. I get it was a busy this weekend but for $272/night I was expecting a bit better "

"Was easy to find the location and was pleasantly surprised with the setup. It was a great place to stay. The owner was friendly to talk to and everything was as described."

"The host was accommodating and helpful. I appreciated the kitchen, as it let me stay in and relax over the weekend. Kitchen had an apartment-sized fridge and freezer, full-size stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee pot. As well, there were lots, a frying pan, dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Bathroom had towels, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Smart TV with Rogers basic cable. Bed was ok for one person. Neighbourhood was quiet. Parking on site. "
