The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

8/10 Good

"The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean though a little dated. They are currently under renovations so future guests may see some room updates and repairs. The location was AMAZING, not far from the Tower Hill Station and just a short walk to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, good restaurants and small shops. It was convenient to have the restaurant on site, staff was hit or miss with service, food was fine though a little pricey, even for the area."

Bluedaws Private Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"It needs to be understood that this is a budget accommodation. We are very satisfied with what we received for the price we paid. Staff were very friendly and wanted guests to have a great experience. Thanks for always asking us how our trip was going! To further improve I would suggest some more options on the complimentary breakfast, and a cooked vegetarian option!"

Marlin Waterloo

10/10 Excellent

"Very well located in Waterloo. The proximity to the main attractions within London. and to the tube stations really helped enhance the experience. Additionally, the rooms were simple, clean and well sized. Just comfortable for two adults. We didn't make use of the kitchenette, but it was nice to have it handy and available."

citizenM Tower of London

10/10 Excellent

"Great location for touristy stuff! Right across from the Tower Bridge and multiple of the city sightseeing tour bus stops. Tube access to the District/Circle line right around the corner from the hotel entrance as well. If you have any early flights to Stansted and/or Luton airports, night tube will not be accessible so be aware. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, the staff were exceptional & professional. Will definitely be returning in the future!"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Elm Park?

The best times to visit Elm Park are during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild and pleasant.

During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the local parks and open spaces, such as Hornchurch Country Park. The evenings are generally cooler, great for enjoying a meal at one of the area's local restaurants without the heat of summer or the chill of winter.

For those planning to visit for outdoor activities, like walking or cycling, May and June offer longer daylight hours and the landscape is at its most verdant. You'll find it's a good time for a leisurely stroll along the Ingrebourne Valley, which is easily accessible from Elm Park.

If you prefer to avoid the peak summer crowds and still enjoy good weather, September and October are excellent choices. The autumn colours begin to emerge, particularly along the River Ingrebourne, offering a different kind of scenic beauty.
