"Lovely cottage which is situated close to Durham City centre.Helpful, friendly host, who was on hand when we had any problems. Also, a very good Italian restaurant next door."

"A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. "

"Spent a lovely week at Ashlea Country Cottage, Ann, the owner was so nice and helpful, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. This is a lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We even got real thick snow which was an added bonus, great to watch surrounding wildlife and had visits from sheep. The wood burner was a real hit, made the cottage feel homely and warm, great place to explore from and the fresh warm bread on arrival was an absolute bonus. We will be...

"Beautiful property in a secluded setting but not too far a drive from Hexham and Corebridge. Great walks too nearby if you have dogs. Would definitely stay again."
