Size of the units was very generous Tidy and clean

very nice hotel, upon arrival we were greeted by the very friendly staff/owners. we were very pleased with our room for the price we paid. great value for money!

Our unit was very spacious and afforded excellent access and maneuverability for my wifes power wheelchair, If I had any negatives, it would just be the parking, as the car park out side our unit was often used by other guests.

We really had a nice stay here. The place is neat and the bed and linens are comfy!! Stephen is soo friendly and very accommodating and he always happy to help and would often check if there was anything we needed.. We really appreciated how welcoming and helpful he was throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Arrived late for an overnight stay as part of a business trip. Reception was friendly and room was well presented. The hotel had complimentary drink vouchers for a local restaurant if you ate there and it was walking distance so helped with making a quick decision on where to eat. Overall a good experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Nice big rooms. Great bed. Far enough from town but close enough as well. Lovely host.

Booked it based on good reviews from the internet. Motel was very clean and tidy. Staff were most helpful. Kitchen area was very basic but everything else was just perfect!

Unfortunately I had an accident just after we arrived in Gisborne and had to stay in hospital. My husband stayed at the hotel and thought it was excellent. Our friends and family came and visited us.

Always find The Teal a Cosy stay, Friendly staff and Great Location. Love that you can wash & dry clothes here too.

Beach is within walking distance and just beautiful. Overall well situated and comfortable and accommodating. Will stay there again if over that way.

I use to stay at this property many years ago, was always a stand out in every way. Sadly the property needs a lot of love. Buckets everywhere to catch rain on the ground floor. The rooms cleanliness is not good. Never seen a bathroom floor so dirty. Finger prints on tv. Washed cutlery before using. Hallway tables covered in dust. I would love to see this hotel come back to its own. 😔
