Parking was safe enough for my Mokopuna to walk around. The venue was quiet which was good to relax in the room after a busy day at A&P show in town the weekend.

A true retro motel from the 1960s. Clean sheets, a comfortable bed, and a peaceful setting away from the main drag. Close to the harbour walkway, great for a run. Like many NZ motels, it would benefit from a full modern refurbishment to meet today’s traveller expectations.

The facilities are fantastic for a motel. It was extremely clean, well maintained and very homely. We loved it. Great place to stay if you're doing the first light marathon in the future as it's close to the start line, and very close to the beach ( about a 1 min walk) .
