Point A London Liverpool Street

4/10 Poor

"I would not stay here again. It’s basically a hostel. Upon check in we asked for a room away from the elevator. They gave us one right next to it. The 2 twin rooms are the tiniest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. There’s no room to move around, no room to store things. It’s insane. The walls are paper thin. The doors don’t close right so they all have to be slammed in order to shut. There’s only 3 plugs in the entire room. Zero in the bathroom. The bathroom is small. You get 2 shower towels and zero other towels. Not a single hand towel. So weird. The tile floor was cracked in the bathroom. The grout was missing. The floor of the shower looks like someone attacked it with a knife. This is super low budget. Shockingly the two highlights were the bed and the pillows. Those were actually quite nice… which was odd. Also, the AC set up was stupid and didn’t work well. It was almost like motion censored so if you weren’t in the room or if you were sleeping it would turn off? I don’t know but it was hot at night. Which made sleeping difficult. Basically I hated this hotel."

"Entire experience for this 1 night stay was very poor. Checked in and found that the elevators were faulty. So my partner and I along with another couple staying had to get assistance after being stood waiting for 15 minutes. First impression not great. Shower families looked very worn and damaged. Moving on, went to use the iron in the room to then have it smoking and smelling of burning plastic. Requested a change of iron and waited an hour for this to be brought up. Whilst waiting we ordered room service. Both dishes arrived to the room at a reasonable time, however both disappointing. The chips were burnt and inedible and the poke bowl salad looked off/wilted and almost like it should have been thrown away days prior. Tried to call down to reception to inform of the problem and after 3 attempts the phone rang out. Given our limited time that evening we needed to be at a local event nearby so agreed we would address the issues upon checkout the following morning. Around 90 minutes after eating the food from the room service my partner became ill and had to use the toilet as they were having rather bad diarrhea. This was from the food he had consumed from the room service as he hadn't eaten food for sometime prior. This also impacted our evening and sleep as he was having endless trips to the toilet. Causing dehydration and sleep deprivation. Raised concerns with the reception manager who seemed pleasant but still charged for the food that caused problems. Awful!"

"The view is amazing. My daughter had a larger window rm933 with a Tower Bridge view that was spectacular. The only challenge was trying to keep the room cool. They offer fans which is helpful. I had a corner room that was smaller with a smaller window. It didn’t seem to get as hot and had the same great view. Rm953 we all agreed the view was worth it! The breakfast was delicious and the staff was always very helpful"

"Hi , I recently stayed at the Crown Plaza Kings Cross. The lobation was amazing. The hotel cleanliness was good however the service unfortunately was nit great , I had to keep calling every day asking them to replenish, water, tea bags. The staff on the front desk was not really helpful , but the waiter in the bar restaurant had exception customer service. Which I would expect to have throughout a first class hotel. Thank you."

"The staff were really great, friendly and efficient. The room was very good except for the shower, no water pressure and the water was either boiling hot or cold. I did not have breakfast at the hotel. The hotel is ideally located next to the tube station, although the area itself is a little grotty"

"I loved staying at the Locke London Canary Wharf with my mum for one night. We chose to stay there because it is very close to the O2 Arena where we went to a Dermot Kennedy concert on Friday night. The venue is only one stop away from Canary Wharf underground station, which is very easy and quick to get to the hotel from. There are many signs indicating where the hotel is so after getting off at Canary Wharf underground station, getting to the hotel is really easy. We chose to stay at a city studio apartment which was great because we had more space, there was a mini-fridge, hob, microwave, kitchen sink and kitchen utensils. The television had options to use YouTube, as well as Netflix, and normal TV channels, even in other languages. The hotel has a super modern, urban and new aesthetic feel to it, which me and my mum, as frequent travellers, don't get to see very often. The cost-benefit was surprisingly good, after doing a deep search for hotel options in London, I was thrilled to find this price. Lastly, we got a lovely view of the Canary Wharf from the room with a beautiful skyline view of many modern buildings."
