"Really nice Inn with good quality accommodation and easy parking. Food was great and staff friendly. Only thing that let it down for us was the constant hum of the ventilation system during the night."
"This is a great and charming hotel. It looks a bit dated in the outside, but the facilities are great, specially the spa and food services. The town is small with great views of cliffs if you walk to the west. Lots of little shopping. The beach isn’t a plus as it’s rocky, but hotel has nice swimming options."

"It was good to have parking with the hotel, as some in the area don't have it. By being a walkable distance from the seafront and town, it put us in a more quiet area. "
"Total shambles with checkin. I arrived for the allotted checkin wi Dow of 3/4pm to find no one there. I had not received any online communication wrt combination for key box and subsequently had to try to talk to TravelNest who were apparently the booking agent even though I booked through Hotels.Com. I had tried to touch base with the host previously but never got any reply. Travelnest finally got an answer and a cheery host called me without any apology the inconvenience. I couldn’t stay in the property in the end as my father in law had a fall when we arrived and ended up being hospitalised for duration of our stay and so we had to look after his wife at their home. Anyway when I communicated this to the host with a possibility of us staying the last day he only then informed me that towels and linen were extra!Really? He made a paltry effort to alleviate my annoyance by saying he’d upgrade us and even throw in the towels/linen- too little too late from my perspective!! Anyway I checked and there was definitely no mention of “extra charge “ on Hotels.com. Travelnest washed their hands of the matter and said it was clear on “their” site that these items were NOT included, despite me continually stating I booked on Hotels.Com! So a very shabby and amateurish site. At least Hotels. Com apologised for the confusion and offered £25 credit- nothing from TravelNest of course! "
"A really cosy and lovely traditional old inn with mod cons and a great atmosphere in a beautiful location great for long walks in the countryside and by the sea. Helpful friendly staff, very comfortable, cosy rooms, parking and a very good restaurant. Recommended."
House, Attractive Views Of The Byes, Family and Pet Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"We knew garden was "staggered" but its not atttached to house. You have to go down a path that runs along the back of the houses to go your garden gate. Garden was lovely with a table and 4 chairs and flower borders. Location is brillant litterally a 2 min walk to The Byes which are picturesque. Sidmouth is a 10 minute walk. There is a Tesco Express about a 10 minute walk and a Waitrose is about a 10 kinute drive. As its a victorain house stairs can be awkward for some. The house was lovely kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Also lovely having 2 reception rooms, I could watch the telly from the kitchen! No allocated parking which can be difficult as its first come first served but you can park nearby and a car park is just round the corner. Lyme Regis is about half an hours driveCommunication with the property owner was really good. Will definitely use this property again. *My only suggestion would be to have blinds/curtains at the kitchen windows*"
