The Kings Arms Hotel

The Kings Arms Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"For me it was most definitely the staff. Cheryl & Robert. I arrived and was greeted by them both. As a stranger to the area they settled me into the hotel, which is centrally located in the town. When asking for local taxi numbers Cheryl asked where I was going, once told she offered to take me to my goddaughter wedding venue, above a beyond but greatly appreciate. I dined in the hotel on my first night and the busy bar / lounge meal & atmosphere was fantastic with Robert as our host. Sea bass cooked to perfection. Robert has traveled far and wild and I was able to share my travel stories with him, what a gent. The hotel has old world charm and many stories to tell. A fantastic stay and one I would happily do again."

"I don’t think the Imperial Hotel has had a makeover since the demise of Empire, but - the room was clean, the bed comfy, the staff were lovely, and we had a cooked breakfast - all for £75. Excellent value for a one-night stopover."

"A good and helpful welcome on arrival. A clean and comfortable large room with a nice view of the countryside. The surrounding well kept lawns led to the river and offered walks for all abilities with entertainment watching the fly fishermen. The restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and evening meals with a large choice. The meals were interesting and different with great choices and even a tasting menu. Thank You to all the staff for their welcome and helpful attitude."
