We had deer field for our back garden and we even witnessed a deer give birth just meters away from us on quite morning! They people who run the business are so friendly and helpful. "Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful."

"Little gem of a place. Inside all new. Well stocked kitchen with all pans /utensils you might need. Log burner will heat the whole house so very little central heating required. Hot tub also log fired and we were surprised how quickly it heated the water. Sitting in it at night was a joy. Really good experience"

"The property looks small from the outside, however, it’s surprisingly spacious inside. A very comfortable bed, with all the kit you could need in the kitchen once the hidden drawer is located.
