A unique Scottish hotel that is in the process of being renovated. Food was good and staff friendly, though reception appeared to be unstaffed. My room was one of the older ones so the renovation will be a big benefit but overall the hotel was great value and much better than an anonymous generic chain hotel.
Friendly welcome, lovely dinner in the snug. The room was clean and welcoming with a big TV and tea making facilities. The staff accommodated our request to leave our bags at reception after we had checked out.

I have stayed here several times, but always in a renovated room, so first time in an unrenovated one, it is dated but serviceable and good value. Great friendly staff and service is good. Food is good value.

Nice, spacious room with large en-suite. Freshly decorated and refurbished. Only small issue was a quibble over the breakfast, which had been booked with Hotels.com, but the Hotelier disputed. They honoured it when proof of booking was shown, but it did sour things a little. Otherwise it was a nice Hotel and we would stay again. Limited Hotel Parking, but plenty of free public parking around back.

Newly refurbished, very friendly staff, parking outside and nearby, good food, and not far off the motorway, so has a lot going for it, i have stayed a few times and no issues to date.
There was a room description error on Expedia's website, which the hotel staff were very quick to resolve at their own expense in a very professional manner. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and rooms were generously sized. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was adequate, bathroom very tight but bed comfortable. Meal in evening very good and service good. Breakfast was poor as order was not delivered & when waitress advised rather than offer apologies and then got what was ordered she was very abrupt, sharp and told me I was wrong.
The bed was comfortable and there was accessible parking . The bathroom was very new and a superb shower. Best thing was the amazing Scottish breakfast .
Extremely handy as this Hotel is situated in the central belt of the town with easy access to the railway station, et cetera.

we stayed two nights with our dog. Room was ok and the overall experience was ok. The breakfast was decent quality. What was lacking was knowledge and personal care from all the staff. They did not treat us as customers. We had to ask for things and chase up for breakfast order. When we asked questions on the menu like, what is todays soup of the day, the person had to go to find out. If you get a good deal then it is what it is.
Our room was excellent and dinner and breakfast was very good. Hospitality was very poor. Absolutely no ambiance at all. Would not stay there again.

Ok place
5 minute walk from car park not ideal. Many items missing from the menu. Restaurant closed, so we were seated in bar area. Room ok, but dated. Shower like an old Mira type, more a drizzle than a flow. Really good breakfast. Manager, Ryan Lloyd, receptive and eager to please

Felt the walls were not well insulated as I could hear the conversation from the rooms next door
The room was refurbished well. We were unfortunate with our timing because there was a disco until late and we could not sleep initially. The hotel was busy with the wedding guests and so we could not eat there. Also, we were in the room above the kitchens and the air conditioning units were left on late into the night so we could not open the window due to the noise from them. Perhaps they could be switched off earlier? Bed had no support from springs and mattress needed replacing. Breakfast was a very good cooked scottish breakfast - good quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Vi mangler at hotellet opfordrer gæster til at tage stilling til eks vis hvor ofte man vil ha skiftet håndklæder, det gør man de fleste steder
Rengøring ku trænge til et lille løft, det gjaldt dog ikke vores rum

Average ish
My double room was very noisy with paper thin walls. Very cramped bathroom. The evening restaurant meal was not good value for money.
