Nice hotel, nice staff and very clean hotel. The hotel concierge instead of giving you straight answers to questions, tries to stir you into tourist traps. I asked about the observation deck of Burj Khalifah and the hotel's shuttle service to the building. Instead of answering the question, he tried to stir me into some hotel package, where the hotel is selling tickets for the observation deck etc, at a mark-up of course. The answer should have been the shuttles buses run from x to y hours, or, alternatively, you can take the train which is two blocks up from the hotel, one stop and get there yourself, and the observation hours are from x to y.
The check out process was a lot more tedious and time consuming then it needed to be, and I do not know why.
Arrived in Dubai on a early flight and was able to check in to the hotel at 8am. Reception and hotel staff, especially the lady in the cafe, very friendly and helpful. At the time of booking I was not aware that this is a dry hotel but on the plus side I saved money on a bar bill. This is not a problem.
