"Our rooms weren’t ready at 4 pm so we waited until 8 at which time we were handed the keys to the handicap room, which I asked for, and when we went inside, the whole place was a wreck. Nobody had cleaned it. There was stuff on the floor. The bed was all messed up and they don’t have an elevator so I had to limp upstairs to another room."

"We can give this hotel enough kudos!! We only stayed 2 nights. The property entrance and outdoors were nicely landscaped and very clean. This is big to us. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The entire interior of the hotel was well maintained and clean. The room was cleaned after the first night we stayed which is huge for us!! Plenty of towels and coffee/cups were replenished. We had to leave at 5:30 am and they were preparing breakfast and offered to go ahead and serve us. We declined but were very impressed with their willingness to feed us before we left! We plan on going back to hike Mt. Le Conte and will definitely stay here again!!"

"I enjoyed my room immensely The bed was so comfortable felt like sleeping like on a cloud. I really enjoyed the patio where you could sit and listen to the creek and look at the wildlife. The shower was a good spray I also took a bath when I first got there with some Epsom salts so I enjoyed the fact I could do both. I didn't take advantage of the coffee at 8:30 but right across the street there was coffee at 7:00 in the morning also a very nice restaurant kitty cornered from the place The proprietor was conscientious and helpful and very welcoming excellent customer service"

"$5/day is now charged for vehicle parking. Something of which I didn’t see until I showed up to check in. This is ridiculous because the parking lot is never full when we are there and it’s not like it’s cleaned. My mom went to the office at 7am looking for coffee by the office. They told her she had to go to the gas station! (WTH), mind you they have a free breakfast. My mom is 70yo. We come every year. I’m not impressed this year and will be looking for some where else to stay. I’m sorry Brookside that you felt the need for the changes."

Harrah's Cherokee – A Caesars Rewards Destination

"I booked a room on Expedia as a non-smoking king size room. When I checked in they gave a smoking room king size and was told that since I booked through a third party this is what I had to take. Not thrilled and the room and floor smelled terrible. Room service was not offered so I had to beg the staff for clean towels and wash clothes for the second night. Overall the hotel and casino was nice but not thrilled with the resort fee charges that everyone seems to be getting away with nowadays."
