"We had a lovely two night stay. We booked only 48hrs before our visit so we had the last available room, which had a wonderful garden view and although it was smaller than we anticipated the fun of watching dozens of garden birds on the many bird feeders outside our door and also seeing tiny shrews playing and jumping in the late evening was wonderful. Breakfast was pre booked and excellent and our hosts happy to help at all times. We would definitely return."

"Glangwili Mansion is a beautiful upmarket B&B, quite as good as all the previous reviews have rated it. The owners, George and Linda (and their friendly dog Willow), were welcoming and friendly and great at making suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. There is a great pub nearby and an excellent restaurant a little further away - for Londoners a meal to match anything in the city for half the price. "This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....

However we didn't think the service was particularly great and the breakfast on both days was appalling; we were asked what time we wanted breakfast and stated 9am but on both days there was nothing left. We had to ask for everything we wanted and when things arrived they arrived separately therefore not allowing us to eat together or as one complete breakfast. Extremely comfortable stay which I was made even more special by the young lady at reception who booked us in early and served us at breakfast. "Hotel and surroundings are impeccable. Staff and breakfast was amazing. We were allocated a room on top floor 315 The rooms are small and in our opinion this room should have been single occupancy. The bed was pushed up against a wall so you couldn’t get out either side and when my husband tried to get out he would hit his head on the slanted roof. We are late 40s and still agile however I doubt elderly or less agile would cope."
