"It was actually my daughter that I booked for. The booking process was easy, the hotel were happy to confirm details and very helpful. My daughter loved her 'superior room' with a river view and had a very pleasant stay, The staff were very nice, the breakfast was standard but good and she would definitely stay again if it were in a similar room."

"Quiet and comfortable rooms, the two person lift was a bit limiting. Spacious parkland with lots of hanging baskets (the vertical "Petunium" was spectacular) and a novel planting scheme in the borders. The food was well cooked and mostly spicy choices and the service was friendly & good in the Stable block. "

"I am from the US, but I found this place after discovering through Ancestry research that the Lumley family is in my family tree, and I found this castle in searching them and I wanted to see it, so we came. Lumley Castle is a unique and amazing gem. There is so much history. The reception desk sells a book about the history, which is definitely worth purchasing.
