Quick Pit Stop

A quick overnight stop on route to Glasgow. A lovely tranquil place with a lovely bar area overlooking the gardens. Bedroom had a seating area which was an added bonus. Comfortable. A good hearty breakfast!

Luxury without the price tag

Excellent hotel and apartments, We stayed in the apartments on the hotel grounds this were to a very high standard with everything you needed. My daughter and myself enjoyed our stay in one of the 2 bedroom one's each room offering a super king size bed and ensuite, TV's in each room, comfortable lounge area and well equipped kitchen, the hotel bar and restaurant is only a short walk across the car park with a great choice of lunch and evening meals available. The staff are super friendly and helpful

Excellent stay

We stayed here for 1 child free night. The hotel was lovely. The room was clean, well maintained and quiet. The view over the Eden Valley was lovely. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We used our Tesco vouchers so our stay was very cheap. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect stay

Wonderful hotel, a nice mix of modern and old furnishings to fit the style of the house. Beautiful scenery surrounding. Our room was big and stylish, I loved the exposed beams! The bed comfy and bathroom was huge with corner bath and seperate shower. Attentive staff and tasty breakfast. Penrith Town less than 10 minutes drive away and taxis only cost about £6-8. Perfect stay, we will return!

The staff are always friendly and helpful, a great bonus. Being only a few minutes outside Penrith means you are close enough and also far enough away. Better still, there is more than one route to access the hotel when the traffic is a bit busy. Definitely a place to regularly come back to.

The hotel was beautiful on arrival and staff were all wonderful and very accommodating. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced too. Breakfast was also lovely. The only downside was we booked a superior room and felt let down by this. We paid extra for the room which we thought would be one of the modern ones as shown in the pictures, however it wasnt. It was very dated and in need of modernisation to be sold as a superior room. This is the only complaint and didnt ruin our stay, we just felt we didnt get what we paid for.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area, with stunning views. All of the staff were so friendly and the food was excellent from breakfast through to the evening meal. Our room.was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.
