"This hotel is slightly quirky but is very nice. I slept very well here and enjoy my room and the view over the valley. I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing. The only thing that would make the stay better would be to provide guests with a kettle to make tea or coffee in their rooms. I will definitely stay here again. There’s no elevator so if you have heavy bags, be prepared to carry them up stairs. "

"A truly beautiful house in the most picturesque and atmospheric village. The pool was perfect too! Beatrice was a great host, helpful and quick at replying. There was an optional 130 cleaning fee that was not obvious from the lisiting so we chose to clean oursleves. Other than that small point everything was exactly as listed! Would definitely come back. "

"We spent a wonderful week at La Bourgarde and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The property was perfect – just a short walk into Castelnaud for morning pastries and close enough to enjoy an afternoon swim. The location made it easy to pack in so many activities, and our whole family loved every moment. Check-in was seamless, and the host was excellent with communication and helpful advice throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning – highly recommended!"

"Sandra was a brilliant host, very communicative and helpful both before and during the stay, including buying a brand new travel cot as we were staying with a baby. The property was immaculate throughout with everything you might need. Well located for Cenac, beautiful views over the Dordogne valley, excellent indoor and outdoor living spaces, and a lovely pool and hot tub. We would stay again."
