Set in a very narrow street yet unaffected by noise, while the room did not enjoy a view per se, opening the Juliet balcony allowed you a great insight into the heart of French village life. "Somewhat mixed feelings. We arrived and the budget room we had booked was tiny and had no draw space to put clothes and only a rail to hang things. We requested a larger room and got one at an extra cost which was fine. The location was stunning over looking a field of sunflowers (its a shame they had gone past their best. We chose the hotel as it was out of the town but had a restaurant, unfortunately it was not open on the night we arrived (Friday night!) so we had to walk the busy road...

"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "

"Lovely old property close to towns in the scenic Dordogne. A car is essential. We stayed in the old castle which was charming. Excellent restaurant - be sure to book ahead."

"You get what you pay. The listing was exactly what the photos showed. They do not have 24hours reception. It was very difficult to get answer from the property regarding late check-in. When they got back and they confirmed that the late check in was possible the check in process was easy."

"We had the Rousseau room at the very top of the building. It was spacious and very comfortable. We were prepared to have to walk stairs (no elevator) and the staff carried bags up and down. The heating was tricky but staff sorted it out. Breakfast was great and location is superb. Lea on the staff was especially helpful. For improvement, we would note that the bathtub/shower was very slippery and a bit treacherous with no grab bar to hold. Strongly recommend that they add non/slip grips to the floor of the tub and/or a grab bar to the wall. Otherwise, terrific."
