"I booked 2 nights, I left a night early. The castle was something I was looking forward to but it was a complete disappointment. The room layout was great, the outside property for photos was nice. The room itself was not clean, dusty and only one toilet worked. Saw some dead cockroaches. I traveled far so I was tired to leave at the moment. When it was bedtime both bed covers were covered in blood stains. At the point I couldn’t stay there. I left without even bothering with the front desk. I was so upset. Bathroom drain cover, tiles are all falling apart. The couches and chairs are all extremely dirty. If you want the photos of the castle visit during the day no need to stay. I learned my lesson you get what you paid for."

"El Meson de los Poetas is a lovely hotel well situated within a short walking distance of Guanajuato's many attractions. Very easy to flag a taxi right outside the door. We stayed in a superior suite on the first floor. The room was spacious and comfortable and street noice was nonexistent. Many public seating areas outside of the rooms added to the ambiance."

"El hotel es un destino en sí...aguas termales y jardines espectaculares, hemos visitado muchas veces. Sin embargo, esta vez la falta de Internet en los cuartos es un grave problema. También la alberca grande estuvo apenas tibia. Ojalá pusieron atención a éstas cosas y volveremos sin duda a ése paraíso. "

"As a US citizen, I thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities that the hotel had to offer. The staff was excellent. I bought a breakfast package and it was extremely nourishing. The hotel front desk assisted me with getting a cab therefore I felt very safe moving around the city. I will return."
