"After a day on the beach we were so pleased to arrive at this gorgeous gastro pub with rooms. Beautiful, and comfortable rooms with lovely style and welcoming touches, and our dog was welcomed happily and given her own bed and there was even a dog shower area outside. Dinner outside was delicious and a great breakfast menu too, traditional and healthy options also. Thoroughly recommend and hope to come back. "

"Wonderful hotel in beautiful old English town! Parking is a challenge but we were lucky! Staff greeter was exceptionally friendly and helpful. No elevator (lift) so prepare for spiral stairs! Food was absolutely first-class as was the service. Highly recommended 👌 "

"The Annex was a perfect hideaway to rest & recharge my batteries. Peaceful & quiet, like being in the middle of a forest! Friendly hosts - both human & canine! Tanya was very good, helping me find my way around.I will definitely stay there again if I'm going to be in the area. "
"Stayed here in October, opened the door to a smell of cold & damp that never really went away. Heating kept resetting to cold & was out of our control. Daughter had to spray perfume to mask the smell in her room. Damp damage visible throughout. Hosts refused to stop the heating resetting so every morning & every time we came back after being out, it was cold & damp & smelly again. Nice enough cottage otherwise I suppose."
