"Nice old hotel, great positioning the sea front and substantial gardens. Had double superior sea front room which had coffee/tea biscuits and bottled water. Room s are a little dated but comfortable and warm with great views. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Dog friendly and they do a great job of ensuring it's kept clean and dog odour free. Like all British seaside hotels could do with a lick of paint and some small maintenance but overall a nice place to stay."

Room was spotless with king size bed, TV, sea views, plenty of storage space, compact ensuite, etc. The on site parking requires some care from drivers, especially if you have a large car. "A very quirky house with lots to see! Four lovely bedrooms. The pool table was great and used every day. The kitchen had everything we could need.Our only niggle was that although its a house to fit up to 8 people there are only six dining chairs, and only six outdoor chairs. I also think that the crockery, cutlery and glasses are a bit random with no set of 8 of anything, or even 6! An easy fix though and not a complaint just a viewpoint Ideal for a visit to the area and a short walk to the beach and town centre"

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Shippon. The house had everything we needed although a few improvements would make it even better. Some of the chairs round the large table were very wobbly! The space was brilliant and lovely comfortable sofas. As it was not possible to have takeaways we used the kitchen for most meals and it had everything we needed. It was great having ensuites to the bedrooms and a downstairs bathroom. The only negative was the rural aspect and the difficulty travelling along very narrow roads with passing spaces. We had been told in the info but the roads were definitely challenging."
