"Beautiful place. The owner put together a great resource guide, which was very helpful, right down to a radio station guide, helping my husband find the right station for him. We appreciated the use of the telescope, which we used to find seal on the island. We had mostly foggy/cloudy days, which had its own charm. We really enjoyed setting along the big rocks to watch sunset. Great stay! Thanks for the hospitality."

Our hostess was very gracious and prepared a wonderful breakfast. She knows the area well and gave great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. We really enjoyed our stay here."

"This was the perfect rental for our family reunion. We had 17 people stay comfortably at this property. You could definitely house more! The great benefit is the bathrooms and showers. There is a bathroom in each room which was a selling point with so many people. Industrial kitchen, coffee pot and toaster were used regularly as well as the 3 refrigerators. There is a smaller 4th fridge for drinks if you need it. We like the calmness of the area. We traveled to the main entrance of Acadia and decided we preferred the less chaotic Schoodic side of Acadia which is right near this house. Schoodic Point is 5 minutes. Bonus is that this property has great trails to hike within the property. Ben was a fabulous host. I would stay again."

"To sum up our stay at On the Rocks, I’m just going to say “Wow”. Usually the pictures of a place are better than the reality. In this case, the pictures did not do justice to what we experienced. Being so close to the mesmerizing Georges Pond was so peaceful and lovely. We took advantage of all the great places from which to view it, inside and out. The inside of the cabin was also so well done and inviting. We enjoyed the fire pit and hearing the loons’ calls in the evenings."

"This was our second year staying at this property and, once again, it was perfect for our needs. More people could have comfortably stayed here, but my daughter and I found the space to be just right for the two of us. The view from the rear of the house is gorgeous; we saw deer almost every night; the nighttime sky sparkles with stars. There are plenty of nearby beaches to comb and trails to hike. Inside the very clean and well supplied house, we could choose to play games, read or watch tv if the weather wasn’t cooperating or if we just wanted to be lazy. There is an easy to use grill on the deck, and a new-this-year easy to use stove in the kitchen. The host is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. I would highly recommend this property but selfishly hope no one rents it so I can have it whenever I want!"
