Relaxing Casita With Hot Tub Near The Broadmoor

Our beautiful and cozy Casa Hovel, located a hop away from the Ivywild eateries, a skip from the Broadmoor and a jump from downtown, is the ultimate place to stay for your next trip to Colorado Springs. This home is unlike any other you have experienced. Built in order to sustain efficient living, Casa Hovel has a unique, southwestern feel. The adobe exterior, colorful tiles, kiva fireplace and ceiling vigas will leave you feeling comforted and relaxed for your entire stay. While the home does include two bedrooms and one and a half baths, each bedroom is located in a separate building, accommodating the privacy of our guests.
The main "casa" has a front courtyard decorated with red adirondack chairs, water fountain and is scattered with vibrant wild flowers. Each house has a covered patio for early morning coffees, long talks, games and summer night cocktails. But don't worry, for those cold winter days, there are warm robes and a hot tub to warm up cold toes and each house is equipped with a quaint fireplace. For those more athletically inclined, the home has a spacious yard and is right down the road from Cheyenne Mountain Canyon where tourists and townies alike go to hike, bike and sightsee. Not to mention the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Tinseltown movie theater and Broadmoor bowling alley are all close by if you are traveling with children. The home has soft natural lighting, brand new stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer. The "casa" has a new walk-in shower and the "casita" has a powder room. All in all, your visit to Colorado Springs would not be complete without a stay at Casa Hovel.

Colorado Springs Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in the Casita! The backyard was so cute and peaceful. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location was great, close to all the attractions we wanted to see.

Amazing stay supported by the most super of super hosts

We actually switched properties first day. There was an issue with the hot tub and the host knew that was important to us - without hesitation she moved us to her super deluxe Stratton property .It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful exterior and interior nestled next to a flowing stream. There are stream side chairs for morning coffee and stream side hammocks for afternoon snooze. Very quiet with an abundance of both flora and fauna. Great hot tub with robes provided for all guests. Linens and beds top notch ( we slept in the master suite). Host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend - perfect retreat!

Thanksgiving retreat

We had a charming time staying in this little casita! Making fires every night was fun! We did have to sleep separately in different buildings, which was different but fun. Nice yard for kids to play in. I would love to see a lock on the hot tub for child safety.

This home was exactly how the pictures showed but even better in person. The separate casita was so great as with 4 people and luggage, it made the stay feel "less crowded." The private yard and sitting areas felt very cozy and comfortable for coffee, conversation, cocktails..Would definitely stay here again next time around. The host was GREAT.

Sweet, warm and cozy

This is a beautiful casita with plenty of room! The decor is lovingly appointed Easy parking We loved the grill, the jacuzzi and the fireplace. My only suggestion is to supply more silver ware. The layout of having two separate living spaces is perfect! Thank you, we’d love to return one day

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and we absolutely had a blast. We packed in a lot of hiking, shopping and sight seeing, almost made we wished we booked one more night to just re-coop! The location was excellent because anything you needed was actually right around the corner or not that far away. As for the property itself, it was so cozy and had everything you needed to feel like home plus a few extra amenities! I would not hesitate staying here again for a return trip!

Amazing place to relax & enjoy the mountain scenery. Close to many trails, restaurants and just an inviting space to relax without the hustle and bustle. The property is all you need for a recharge. Wonderful Casita in Colorado Springs

We loved staying in this historic home during our trip to Colorado Springs. The casita and extra bedroom were perfect for our small family. The architecture is impressive. Both spaces are well designed. Caren was kind, professional and helpful with emails. Check-in/out procedures were clear. We feel privileged to have stayed in her home. Well-Accommodated at a Great Location

from check in to check out, the casita met our needs and fulfilled our expectations. The location was fantastic, 3 minutes from groceries and gas, and 15 mins or less to everything we wanted to do in Colorado Springs! My favorite part of every day was sitting outside either in the hot tub or by the fire, surrounded by the beautiful backyard setting of the casita. It’s also nice that the detached bedroom is also equipped with a bathroom, very useful. We had no issues and everything was accurate. AC would have been nice but it cools down at night, so by cracking the window and making use of the 2 fans, it’s manageable even in August.

Absolutely Fabulous in Every Way

This was our first time to Colorado Springs and we were looking for a unique rental as a hotel room just seemed too boring for us. These lovely casitas brought such charm and ambiance that we could not have imagined from just looking at the pictures. We were in our own oasis as we relaxed in the beautifully appointed casitas and outdoor seating areas. We so looked forward to returning to the rental after a long day of hiking or sightseeing, that we ended up spending more time there than anticipated. Relaxing and festive December stay

We were thankful to stay at this lovely and relaxing, pet-friendly casita while visiting family in the CSC area. Caren is a fabulous host and answered all of our questions before, during and even after our stay. She stayed in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. The back house and hot tub are a plus and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Host has added some very thoughtful touches, like plenty of soap, towels, extra blankets and pillows. The home stays warm and toasty inside too. Since we visited in December the adorable holiday decorations made for a festive stay. Location is close to so many notable attractions, activities and restaurants. My husband is over 6 foot tall so the back house bed worked better for us to sleep in. However, I loved the little nook in the main house for reading and napping. We would love to work with Caren again on a future visit.
