Five Minutes to the USAF Academy - Short drive to Garden of the Gods

Beautiful large lower level (1500 SF) walkout with 2 bedrooms, queen beds, one bath, living room with gas fireplace, kitchenette, and separate entrance. Bright and cheery with a nice view of Mt Herman from living room and one bedroom. The other bedroom looks out towards a former golf course (open area). The kitchenette includes a sink, 2 mini-fridges, microwave, large electric skillet, crock pot, and coffee maker with complimentary Starbucks coffee. There is off street parking and access to deck and grill on back of house.
The property is conveniently located on the north end of Colorado Springs - only five minutes from the north gate of the US Air Force Academy and easy driving distance to Garden of the Gods, the US Olympic Training Center, Pikes Peak, Old Colorado City, and the Castle Rock Outlet Mall. Owner lives on the main floor.

Very quiet and close to everything we were doing

The place was extremely clean and very quiet. Easy to get to everything we had going on. The steps down to it are a little tricky and he warned us about them. He had a Roku on the TV which allowed me to sign in to my ESPN app and watch softball- was expired about that

Excellent place to stay!

We had excellent communication with the owner, if we texted him he responded immediately. Our place was larger than we expected, very clean, and everything we needed was provided. This Vrbo is close to the AF Academy in Colorado and located in a very nice area with nice restaurants and things to do. Would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at Chris' place many times and won't stay anywhere else. He is a very nice man, the house/apartment is clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood is perfect. Five stars for sure!!

Perfect for Family Visit

My husband and I used the apartment during our visit to the Air Force Academy. Close to the North Gate entrance, it was easy to access the Academy. Although it doesn't have a full-sized kitchen, it had everything we needed. The owner has supplied guests with appliances to make meal preparation easy.The neighborhood is lovely with lots of wildlife. Shopping and dinning are also close.

Hiking Trip

My son and I traveled to Colorado to celebrate his recent high school graduation and to do some hiking and exploring. This location was perfect! Close access to everything we wanted to do and incredibly comfortable accommodations. Chris was fantastic with his communication and made us feel so welcomed!

Academy Tournament

We stayed here during my son’s tournament at the USAF Academy. The unit is very clean and well maintained. Location was perfect with short drive to the academy and lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The owner was great and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

My third stay!

This was my third stay at Chris' house and all three trips have been excellent! I love his place and feel right at home when staying there. The neighborhood is quiet, the deer come up close to visit, and amenities are minutes away in multiple directions. Chris is a great host and you will have nothing but fond memories of a stay at his place!

A great find for a great price!

This was the perfect place for our family who was in town for a graduation. Chris could not have been more gracious or accommodating. He responded promptly and professionally to our every request. I can see why he has so many returning guests and stellar reviews. The fact that the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the unit gave us privacy when needed. The large walk-in closet (which is the size of a small bedroom) was the perfect place for our granddaughter to sleep in peace while the adults hung out in the living room. I can't recommend Chris and his rental highly enough!

Great place, great location

I try to be thorough in selecting my stays based on my own personal wants, those I'm with, price, location, etc. All the basics. So far, so good (five out of five). This place already had excellent reviews and, frankly, vastly exceeded the photos of the place. Easy communication with owner before booking, getting entry information, etc. Price was great. Location was awesome. It's a few minutes from I-25 but far enough away that you can't hear it or see it really. Pike's Peak is not quite visible from the place but it's visible very near the stay. There are some gas stations/fast food joints right down the street but some major exits along I-25 are 10-15 minutes away. 20ish minutes from Garden of Gods, 25 from Manitou Incline. Plenty of dining/shopping/entertainment options. Getting in, our map took us through a very long neighborhood drive. While annoying, we figured it was quite tucked away and safe. Using I-25 and the main roads is much easier and convenient. Place was great and clean. Two good-size bedrooms/beds, closets. A nice bathroom. Great dining and living room area with a fireplace and many TV viewing options. Security is always a big deal for my parents and this is very residential, very safe. Access to the place was a few steps but nothing serious. All in all, it's my third-best VRBO, which is no slight. We stayed in some crazy places that are tough to beat. Being more residential than some of the others, this was perfect. I would 100 percent stay here again.
