Sol Cottage Villa 2 BR 1 BA private pool lush landscaping ACs & new generator

"Our stay at Sol Cottage was perfect. The unit was exactly as described in the listing, incredibly clean, and well stocked, including beach towels, beach chairs, and backpack coolers that were perfect for keeping drinks cool for our daily beach ventures and hikes. They even included a delicious sampling of fresh snacks from North Shore Deli at arrival that were delicious! Very nice touch that was unexpected. The pool was such a nice feature, with the whole deck being it's own little paradise. We used the Starfish Market in Cruz Bay (also recommended by JP before we even arrived) to stock up on essentials for the week. The hosts Beth and JP were so easy to communicate with and friendly. JP gave us tons of recommendations for things to see, places to eat, and spots to visit that were much better than the tourist spots that were more crowded. He even told us to try Francis Bay after sunset to stir up the bioluminescent plankton, which were amazing to see in person. This was our first visit to St. John, and our 2nd will be as soon as the wife and I can get it scheduled. I will absolutely book Sol Cottage again and would recommend it to any visitor to the island, though it was most suitable for just 2 people."

"Island Stones is a beautiful property! The views are second to none. It’s a classic style Carribean upscale villa. The separated bedrooms allow for nice privacy and the common area easily handles 10 people. Our communication with the property managers and guidance on check in was great. The property was perfect for our large family get together. It was very clean. Parking was great for three vehicles. Definitely recommend it!"

"I couldn’t love this property more!! The view is unparalleled and the inside was well appointed and very cozy with everything I needed. The host Emily was an excellent communicator. She answered all of my questions before my trip very thoroughly so my mind was at ease knowing every detail of my travel and stay at the rental were taken care of. Emily also promptly answered any questions I had during my visit. The island of St. John is very unique and there are many aspects that are unfamiliar for a novice to navigate. She helped me figure out all sorts of things and made my visit very pleasant and smooth even when the unexpected arose. The stairs pictured at the end of the listing descend from the parking space to the entrance. Packing light and packing so you can carry things on your back is the way to go. As a payoff for the view it was absolutely worth the trouble and if you are in reasonable shape it is not a big deal. I found that bringing a headlamp flashlight and a power brick charger for my phone were very helpful. The power on St. John is not reliable at all times and having those items really helped me adapt. The water does not work in a power outage either. So having a bag of ice in the freezer to pack around cold items (a cold bag is provided) and a few gallons of water at the ready is all you need to get through. If you have an adventurous spirit, this is the place for you! St. John is a never ending adventure & this property is perfection."

"Our stay at the Villa at Cinnamon Sun was incredible. My wife and I stayed for three nights in the 1 bd/1ba Villa and the pictures online do not do it justice. The location is a 10/10 with three of the best beaches maybe in the world (Trunk/Maho/Cinnamon) within a few minutes drive. We always get a jeep but you don't need it for the property. The property is the first up the turn on Upper Peter Bay so it is a very easy drive up to the property but still gives those incredible North Shore views with Cinnamon, Maho and St Francis Bay all in view from your upper balcony or pool deck down below. The property itself was immaculate with high end finishings everywhere and the landscaping was the best I have seen on the island. The amenities were in excellent shape and well thought out. We prepared for many things, but the host Donald had already thought about so much for guests that brought more than we needed. This was a very rare find and the only sad thing to report is that we did not stay longer, and the owner just started renting this property so I am sure it will be booked solid moving forward. This is the perfect couples get away location and we were so thankful to find it. Thank you again to the host for making a perfect slice of heaven available."

"Our family of 6 loved our stay at Coconuts. Kevin provided an excellent and thorough check-in providing many great pro-tips and the attention to detail at this property is above and beyond. Waking up to and coming home to the spectacular view, warm pool, hottub, and various entertainments were the cornerstone of a wonderful first visit to St. John! The kids loved all the games and entertainment and playing in the pool after the day at the beach. The parents loved the “private” Dutch pod experience with separate bedrooms and enjoying fresh coffee on the deck every morning. The location is convenient to the amenities of Cruz Bay and North Shore beaches which is where we spent most of our time when not at the villa. Underlying everything was the assurance of smooth power and water flows from their self-sufficient systems. We had no big issues during our stay, but Danielle and Kevin were quick to respond if there were to be any. As is the nature of this island, come prepared for some bug bites if you plan on enjoying the outdoor spaces (a can of Dermoplast found at the property came in handy). There is also some, rare noise from passing vehicles and neighbors on the adjacent road, but that is a reality at most of the villas in the area unless you want to be 30 - 40 minutes from everything. We are already dreaming about our return, perhaps a family reunion renting both of this couple’s properties! Book this villa with confidence!"

"Absolutely gorgeous! Check in process and communication were super easy! The house was perfect for my husband & I. Host had a little welcome gift of snacks and delicious deli salads. Views were spectacular! House was very clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, amazing outdoor shower & perfect for us! Pool is chilly so we didn't spend much time in it. Driveway is straight up so make sure to have a 4 wheel drive jeep. Beach towels, chairs and cooler were provided which we used every day. St. Thomas was spectacular! Our favorite beaches were Cinnamon, Maho & Trunk Bay (but Trunk gets busy). We snorkeled most days & saw tons of beautiful fish, lots of sea turtles at Maho, sting rays, squid, starfish & a nurse shark. Favorite restaurants were Skinny Legs for super casual hamburgers, Longboard for tasty tacos & Morgan's Mango for a fancier dinner. By far the BEST food we had was Little Olive Food Truck!!!! Amazing greek food we are still talking about but it is only open certain days and specific times. Don't miss this place! Can't recommend this house or St. John enough! It was amazing from start to finish!"
