Property sent me an email prior to stay asking me to pay more for a room upgrade - i.e. there were room upgrades available. I declined to pay for the room upgrade because of my gold status with expedia - free room upgrade when available at this VIP property. Requested room upgrade on arrival, told, nope.

The Hotel is average. Staff are great! Rooms & Bathroom extremely small. No pool, No room service, Restaurant closes early by 8pm everything is closed. make sure you take your own snacks. Complimentary coffee & tea gets picked up from lobby by 9am. Lot’s of inconveniences.

I did not like your “destination fee” tried to use the $10.00 credit at the bar but the selection was VERY POOR! Nothing was 10.00 so buying something to use the “credit” ended up costing more for something we didn’t even want in the first place. If I had known about this “racket “ I would have stayed somewhere else.

Gorgeous lobby decor! I came for my birthday and really felt like I was treating myself to something fancy :) The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean, and the floor was quiet. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping on Michigan and State, public transportation, and the riverwalk. I loved my stay, and would definitely come again!

The only thing I didn't like was the $32 nightly charge for a bottle of water and the use of wifi. That was a hidden cost. We didn't want to use the credit for breakfast at the restaurant so it was a loss of $100 for us.
