Cadbury World is situated in Bournville approximately 8 kilometres south of Birmingham city centre. The chocolate-themed complex opened in 1990 and attracts over half a million visitors each year. A visit to the centre is always popular with families who come to learn about this world-renowned chocolate maker. The best part is being able to sample the products and take part in chocolate themed events!The complex is vast and spread over 14 different zones, so you should allow at least three hours to enjoy everything on offer. Where possible, it’s best to avoid the school holidays, as these are understandably the busiest times to visit. The gift shop here is actually the largest Cadbury’s store in the world and is crammed with gifts, chocolate and souvenirs. Situated in Bournville some 20 minutes’ drive from Birmingham city centre, there is ample free parking on site. The nearest train station (Bournville) is approximately 15 minutes away on foot. br />Opening hours do vary throughout the year. It is therefore advisable to check the official website for detailed opening hours. There is an entrance fee, although children under the age of 4 go free. The last admission is 90 minutes before closing.
