Beautiful hotel loved the lobby atmosphere, bar and restaurant. Pool and gym are nice and lots of small shops. Close proximity to all sight-seeing opportunities!!

The decor is beautiful. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. The brownies are not so great. Do not buy at $8. The only problem was when we asked for additional items in our room, they either arrived after a very long wait or not at all. One more thing - smallest bathroom I have ever seen.

The stay was fine. This hotel has a system where you are charged an extra $25 but then it is applied to a bar or restaurant bill. The only problem is that they didn’t execute that process at all so my bill at the restaurant was not reduced $25. That was discovered when I returned home. They are banking on the fact that most people won’t call to fight for their $25 over the phone. So…beware!

The hotel ended up being pretty good for the stay, I was very comfortable with my room, I just was not informed there was a $25 mandatory property charge, which is why I’m rating 4 stars. The location is close to most of the local transit lines, as well as having decent stores in the area if you need to pick anything up (target, convenience stores, etc)

Great location. Nice walk to lake and River. Close to museum and Chicago culture center. Old hotel and average maintenance. The room has no privacy tag. Asked but ignored. No complaint. Good stay and enjoyed.

The double beds were very small. There was no coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave in the room. There was no free coffee anywhere in the hotel. The shower had long hairs in it when we arrived. The mini bar fridge contained several sandwich wraps that had expired 2 months earlier. The pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but wasn't cold and the underwater lights and bubblers were nice. The spa and gym were nice. The lobby decor was spectacular. And we enjoyed all the photos of famous people in the hallways. Front desk responded quickly to text messages. I don't think I will stay there again.

Only issue was the hot water pressure for hot water did not work. Like period. No water came out and we had to shower with cold water. Asked for a fan and was told they would look for one and then never given to us. Overall the stay was worth it but I wished they would have accommodated us and worked on some do the maintenance of the room.

Check in time was 3pm, we got there at 5pm and we still didn’t have a room. Check in line took about an hour to get through to end up still not having a room. We finally got a text that our room was ready at 610pm. We got woken up at 2am with a full on party in the hall. Super disappointed with our stay

No problem with the stay overall however what I did not like was I was surprised by a $25 fee I was charged at the hotel. I actually complained about it and they referred me to my email from Expedia and sure enough it was there however it was not clear to me when I booked, I feel hidden in the fine print. They do use it as a credit, but I checked in late so never able to use the credit. I felt slighted by this. It should be made Clearer at booking I feel. Whether you did or did not make it clear I was surprised so it was not clear enough and made of a bad experience for me overall with the hotel and Expedia.
